Frequently Asked Questions - BDVD20H BLAUPUNKT

How do I reset my Blaupunkt BDVD20H to factory settings?
With the player in standby mode, press and hold the STOP button on the front panel for 5 seconds. The unit will turn on and reset to default settings.
What audio formats does the BDVD20H support?
It supports MP3, WMA, and PCM audio from CDs and DVDs. It does not support AAC or FLAC.
Why is there no picture on my TV?
Ensure the TV is set to the correct input (e.g., AV or Component). Check that the video cables are securely connected. If using component, make sure to match the colors (Y, Pb, Pr). Also verify the player's video output mode matches your TV's input.
Can I play DVDs from other regions?
The player is region-locked to Region 2. To play discs from other regions, you may need to enter a multiregion code (available online) using the remote. Alternatively, consider a region-free player.
How do I clean the DVD lens?
Use a DVD lens cleaning disc with a soft brush. Insert the disc and press PLAY. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the lens. If the problem persists, consult a professional.
What is the A-B Repeat function?
During playback, press A-B REPEAT on the remote at the start point (A), then again at the end point (B). The player will loop the segment continuously. Press again to cancel.
The remote control does not work. What should I do?
First, replace the batteries with fresh ones (2x AAA). Ensure no obstructions between remote and player. If still not working, try resetting the player (see FAQ 1). You can also use the front panel buttons as a temporary workaround.
Can I connect the BDVD20H to a modern TV via HDMI?
No, the BDVD20H does not have an HDMI output. It only provides composite (yellow RCA) and component (Y/Pb/Pr) video. For TVs with only HDMI ports, you may need an RCA-to-HDMI converter (sold separately).
How do I activate subtitles on a DVD?
Press the SUBTITLE button on the remote during playback. Each press cycles through available subtitle languages or turns them off. Not all discs have subtitles.
Where can I find a replacement remote control?
You can order a replacement remote directly from Blaupunkt customer service or through online retailers like Amazon. Use the model number BDVD20H or search for 'Blaupunkt DVD remote replacement'.
