How to install the Active car seat in rear-facing position?
To install the seat in rear-facing position, place the seat on the rear seat of the vehicle and route the seat belt following the red guides. Ensure the belt is tight. The seat should be reclined at 45° for optimal baby comfort.
Can I use the Active car seat without Isofix base?
Yes, the Active car seat can be installed using the vehicle's seat belt, without an Isofix base. However, for easier and more secure installation, the Isofix base is recommended (sold separately).
Up to what weight can I use the seat in rear-facing position?
Rear-facing is recommended until your child reaches 13 kg (approximately 12 to 15 months). After that, turn the seat forward-facing.
How to clean the car seat cover?
The cover is removable and machine washable at 30°C. Use a gentle cycle and air dry. Do not use bleach or tumble dry.
Is the 5-point harness height adjustable?
Yes, the 5-point harness has multiple height positions. To adjust, pull the tab at the back of the seat and move the straps up or down.
What is the lifespan of the Active car seat?
The recommended lifespan is 6 years from the date of manufacture. After that, materials may deteriorate and safety is no longer guaranteed.

WARNING

FALL AND SUFFOCATION HAZARD

FALL HAZARD – Infants can fall through a wide leg opening or out of carrier.

  • Adjust leg openings to fit baby's legs snugly.
  • Before each use, make sure all fasteners are secure.
    • Take special care when leaning or walking.
  • Never bend at waist; bend at knees.
  • Only use this carrier for children between 7 lb and 32 lbs (3.2 kg and 14.5 kg).

SUFFOCATION HAZARD – Infants under four months can suffocate in this product if face is pressed tight against your body.

  • Do not strap infant too tight against your body.
  • Allow room for head movement.
  • Keep infant's face free from obstructions at all times.

WARNING

  • NEVER leave child in carrier unless being worn by caregiver. Child may fall, suffocate, or strangle.
  • Child must face towards you until he or she can hold head upright.
  • Check to assure all buckles, snaps, straps and adjustments are secure before each use.
  • Check for ripped seams, torn straps or fabrics, and damaged fasteners before each use.
  • Ensure proper placement of child in product, including leg placement.
  • Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems, and infants under four months are at the greatest risk of suffocation.
  • Never use a soft carrier when balance or mobility is impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, or medical conditions.
  • Never use a soft carrier while engaging in activities such as cooking and cleaning, which involve a heat source or exposure to chemicals.
  • Never wear a soft carrier while driving or being a passenger in a motor vehicle.
  • Do not place sharp objects in carrier pockets.
  • Ensure child's body parts are clear when closing any fasteners.

The carrier can be adjusted to two seat positions as baby grows. The highest snap Ⓐ is used for infants. To change the seat position, unsnap each seat positioning snap Ⓑ and slide to the desired level. Fasten snaps securely BEFORE placing baby in carrier.

Always select a seat height position that provides the smallest leg opening suitable for the baby. You should be able to fit two fingers between the baby's leg and the carrier's leg openings ©.

Put the carrier on before placing your baby in the carrier.

Make sure the connector strap Ⓐ in the back is buckled securely. With the carrier in front of you, slip the carrier over your head. Buckle the waist belt Ⓑ securely with an audible click.

Pull on excess waist belt strap Ⓐ to remove all slack.

Holding the buckle handle Ⓐ parallel to your body, as shown, place it in the holder Ⓑ and slide it downward. As you slide the handle, it will rotate away from your body. Keep sliding it downward until it locks into position with an audible click.

Important: Check that the handle Ⓐ is locked properly in position by feeling for the handle tip Ⓐ at the bottom of the holder, as shown. If you can't feel the tip, push the handle downward until you do.

To unfasten the side-entry buckle

Sit down before removing baby from carrier.

Release both head support buckles and fold down top of head support.

With your left arm supporting baby, grasp the side-entry buckle handle Ⓐ with your left hand, as shown.

With your right hand, press the handle release tab Ⓑ and continue to hold down. With your left hand, lift the buckle handle Ⓐ upward until it clicks.

Twist the buckle handle Ⓐ away from baby in an upward motion until you hear a click.

Note: Twist until the handle tongue completely clears the groove Ⓐ in the holder.

Slide buckle handle Ⓐ upward out of holder.

Tip!

The front position with BABY FACING IN is best for young infants with limited neck control.

Sit down.

Be sure the side entry buckles and the infant shoulder straps are un-buckled, and carrier is on your lap. Place baby onto carrier facing you with legs straddling carrier.

While supporting baby's head and back, carefully raise carrier and baby up toward your chest.

Adjust head support as necessary to support baby's head.

Using the Carrier as a Front Pack – Facing Outward

IMPORTANT: The front position with BABY FACING OUTWARD is only for babies who can hold up head and neck unassisted (about 4 to 5 months old).

Sit down.

With unbuckled carrier on your lap, place baby onto carrier facing away from you with legs straddling carrier.

Fold head support and bib C down, then fasten the head support buckle D to the shoulder strap. Make sure it fastens with an audible click. Repeat on the other side.

• Hand or machine wash separately in cold water, gentle cycle.
• Do not bleach or iron. Line dry.
- PRODUCT STORAGE/LIFETIME: For optimal durability and use of this carrier, the manufacturer recommends storing this product in its original packaging or an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Do not expose the product to sun or extreme temperatures. Always check the straps, buckles, and fabric condition before use, particularly after any period of extended storage. This product has a useful lifetime of six (6) years from date of manufacture.

Limited Warranty

For a period of 90 days from the original purchase of this Product, Evenflo warrants to the original end user (“Purchaser”) this Product (including any accessories) against defects in material or workmanship. Evenflo’s sole obligation under this express limited warranty shall be, at Evenflo’s option, to repair or replace any Product that is determined to be defective by Evenflo and determined to be covered by this warranty.

Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the Purchaser. Proof of purchase in the form of a receipted invoice or bill of sale evidencing that the Product is within the warranty period must be presented to obtain warranty service. This express limited warranty is extended by Evenflo ONLY to the original Purchaser of the Product and is not assignable or transferable to subsequent purchasers or end users of the Product.
