Frequently Asked Questions - DCACE20 DIMPLEX

What are the different operating modes?
The unit has three modes: Normal (constant speed), Natural (automatically cycles through High, Med, Low to imitate natural wind), and Sleep (natural wind pattern that gradually reduces speed over 30-minute intervals and then runs continuously at low speed).
How do I set the timer?
Press the Timer button to cycle through intervals of 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate. To run continuously, ensure no timer light is on.
Can I use the air circulator in a bathroom?
No. The manual explicitly warns not to use this appliance in a bathroom or near water sources such as baths, showers, or pools.
How do I clean the fan?
Turn off and unplug the unit. Use a soft brush to remove dust from the rear grille and blades. Wipe with a soft damp cloth (mild detergent if needed). The fan cover cannot be removed. Never immerse in water.
What does the oscillation button do?
Press the Oscillation button to start 360° horizontal oscillation. Press again to stop. For vertical tilt, manually adjust the fan head up to 90° while the fan is off.
Is the fan safe to leave unattended?
The manual advises disconnecting the mains power when not in use and before cleaning. Ensure at least 50 cm clearance from walls and objects. Do not cover the cord with carpets or route under furniture.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazard. Do not attempt DIY repair.
How does the Sleep mode work?
Sleep mode uses a natural wind pattern and automatically reduces speed in 30-minute intervals: for high speed, it goes to medium after 30 min, then low after another 30 min, then runs low continuously. For medium, it goes to low after 30 min and stays low. For low, it runs low continuously.
What is the recommended clearance around the unit?
Operate with a minimum of 50 cm clearance all around, away from walls, furniture, curtains, shelves, etc.
How to store the air circulator when not in use?
After cleaning, turn off and unplug. Cover the unit and store it upright in a location that does not receive direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may discolor the enclosure.

How It Works

In contrast to a traditional fan which brings only cooling benefits when directly facing you; an air circulator works for any season, keeping the air in motion and making the entire room more comfortable to be in.

Most fans simply lack the aerodynamics to keep the air in the room in motion. As opposed to blowing air directly in contact with it, our WhirlTech air circulators create a 360° oscillating draught in the form of an invisible jet stream.

This jet stream helps maintain a constant room temperature by ridding the room of cold and warm spots. It also clears stuffy atmospheres by circulating stale air with fresh air from an open window.

Air circulators are the safe, all-year-round temperature regulation solution you've been looking for.

Where To Position

During Summer, pointing the air circulator towards a wall halfway between the floor and the ceiling, as well as using the highest setting, will set up a high speed air circulation pattern.

This will cool down the room in an efficient manner. Pointing towards your air conditioner will help distribute the cool air faster, saving time and energy; essentially Turbo boosting your A/C.

During Winter, the use of a heater alone produces warm air that rises naturally to the ceiling.

By pointing the air circulator upwards, and utilising the lowest speed setting, the hot air will circulate with the cooler air near the floor, resulting in a more even room temperature.
