Frequently Asked Questions - KOBLENZ8714WA-3 Frilec

How do I install my Frilec KOBLENZ8714WA-3 washing machine?
Ensure the machine is placed on a level, sturdy surface. Remove all transport bolts and packaging. Connect the water inlet hose to a cold water tap (3/4 inch thread). Attach the drain hose to a standpipe or sink outlet. Plug into a grounded outlet (220-240V). Level the feet to prevent vibration.
What should I do if the machine does not start?
Check that the door is properly closed and the power cord is plugged in. Verify water supply is turned on. Ensure the program selector is set to a valid cycle and the 'Start/Pause' button is pressed. If still not starting, check the circuit breaker.
How often should I clean the filter?
Clean the pump filter every 3 months or when the 'Clean Filter' indicator lights up. Turn off the machine, unplug it, and open the filter cover. Place a towel underneath, unscrew the filter, remove any debris, and screw it back securely.
What does the 'Child Lock' feature do and how to activate it?
Child Lock prevents accidental button presses during a cycle. To activate, press and hold the 'Temp' and 'Spin' buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the lock symbol appears on the display. Repeat to deactivate.
Why is the machine making loud noises during spinning?
Loud noises may be due to unbalanced load. Pause the cycle and redistribute clothes evenly in the drum. Also ensure transport bolts are removed and machine is level. If noise persists, check for foreign objects in the drum or pump filter.
Can I wash wool or delicate items?
Yes, the machine has a dedicated 'Wool' and 'Delicate' program. Use a gentle detergent and reduce spin speed to 600 rpm or less. Always check the garment care label first.
How do I use the 'Quick 30min' program?
Select the 'Quick 30min' program using the program dial. This cycle is suitable for lightly soiled clothes. It washes at 30°C with a shorter time and moderate spin speed. Do not overload (max 3.5 kg).
What maintenance does the machine require?
Regularly clean the detergent drawer and drum seal. Run a maintenance wash (empty, 90°C, with a descaling agent) every 3 months. Clean the pump filter and check water inlet filter annually. Wipe the control panel with a damp cloth.
How do I resolve error code E01?
Error E01 indicates door lock issue. Ensure the door is fully closed and no clothing is caught. If the error persists, the door lock mechanism may be defective; contact service center.
Where can I find spare parts for my washing machine?
Spare parts such as belts, filters, hoses, and door seals are available through authorized Frilec service centers or online retailers. Use the model number KOBLENZ8714WA-3 for precise parts.

Caution!

  • Make sure that valve cap and emergency drain hose are reinstalled properly, cap plates should be inserted aligning to hole plates otherwise water may leak.
  • Some machines don't have emergency drain hose, so step 2 and step 3 can be skipped. Rotate lower cover cap directly to make water run into basin.
  • When the appliance is in use and depending on the programme selected there can be hot water in the pump. Never remove the pump cover during a wash cycle, always wait until the appliance has finished the cycle, and is empty. When replacing the cover, ensure it is securely re-tightened.

Note!

  • Programme setting for testing in accordance with applicable standard En60456.
  • When using the test programmes, wash the specified load using the maxinspeed.
  • The actual parameters will depend on how the applicance is used, and maybe different with the parameters in above mentioned table.
  • The household washing machine is equipped with power management system. The duration of the left-on mode time is less than 10 minute.
  • The noise emissions during washing/spinning for the standard washing cycle at full load.

Remarks:

1* The eisefromet(A(highest efficiency) to D (lowest efficiency)
2* Energy consumption per year, based on 220 standard washing cycles for standard programme at 60°C and 40°C at full and partial load, and the consumption of the low-power modes. Actual energy consumption will depend on how the appliance is used.
3* Water consumption per year based on 220 standard washing cycles for standard programme at 60°C and 40°C at full and partial load. Actual water consumption will depend on how the appliance is used.
4* Spin-drying efficiency class from G (least efficient) to A (most efficient).
5* The standard 60°C programme and the standard 40°C programme are the standard washing programmes. These programmes are suitable to clean normally soiled cotton laundry and they are the most efficient programmes in terms of combined energy and water consumptions for washing that type of cotton laundry. The actual water temperature may differ from the declared cycle emperature.

Please choose the suitable type of detergent for the various washing temperatures to get the best washing performance with less water and energy consumption.
