Frequently Asked Questions - MO2020se Testoscillator ROLLS

What is the frequency range of the MO2020se?
The MO2020se covers 20 Hz to 24 kHz, suitable for audio frequency testing.
What types of output waveforms are available?
It provides both sine wave and square wave outputs for various testing applications.
What connectors are used for outputs?
The sine wave output is available on XLR (balanced), RCA, and 1/4" unbalanced jacks. The square wave output is on a 1/4" unbalanced jack.
What is the output impedance?
The output impedance is 100 Ω for both sine and square wave outputs.
How is the unit powered?
It requires a 12–15 V DC power supply. An included Rolls PS27s power supply provides the correct voltage.
Does the MO2020se have a balanced output?
Yes, the XLR connector provides a balanced sine wave output for professional audio equipment.
What is the VCO input used for?
The VCO input (1/4" jack) accepts 1.2 to 5 V DC to control or sweep the output frequency externally.
What is the purpose of the -30 dB pad?
The -30 dB pad attenuates the output level for referencing low-level signals without overloading the device under test.
What are the physical dimensions of the unit?
The MO2020se measures 4.25" x 3.75" x 1.75" (108 x 95 x 44 mm) and weighs approximately 1 lb.
How accurate is the frequency selection?
Frequency markings on the dial are approximate. For precise frequency settings, use an external frequency counter.
