How do I connect the Rolls MS211 microphone?
Use a standard XLR cable to connect the microphone to a mixer, audio interface, or PA system. Ensure the cable is securely inserted.
Does the MS211 require phantom power?
No, the MS211 is a dynamic microphone and works without phantom power.
What is the best placement for vocal recording?
Position the microphone about 2–6 inches from your mouth, slightly off-axis to reduce plosives. Use a pop filter for best results.
Can I use this microphone for instruments?
Yes, it can be used for loud instruments like guitar amps, drums, and brass. For optimal sound, place it close to the sound source.
How do I clean the microphone?
Gently wipe the metal body and grille with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or immerse in water.
Why is there no sound coming from the microphone?
Check the XLR cable connection, ensure the mixer/interface channel is turned up, and verify mute is off. Test with another cable if possible.
Is the microphone compatible with my laptop?
Direct connection to a laptop requires an audio interface or USB adapter with an XLR input. The MS211 itself uses XLR output.
What accessories are included?

How do I reduce handling noise?
Use a microphone stand or boom arm instead of hand-holding. The internal suspension helps, but a shock mount is recommended.
