SAFETY WARNINGS
- After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and any presence of damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.
- Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children - risk of suffocation!

- Before connecting the appliance, please make sure that the voltage data indicated on the identification technical data (7) correspond to those of the mains voltage. The identification technical data (7) are found under the appliance.
- This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed, namely as a toaster for home use. Any other use is considered not compliant and therefore dangerous.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- The electrical safety of this appliance is only guaranteed when it is connected correctly to an effective earthing system as required by applicable electrical safety standards. This important safety requirement must be verified and, if in doubt, request a thorough check of the system by a qualified technician.
- DO NOT use the appliance with wet hands, damp feet or barefoot.
- DO NOT pull the power cable or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance or when changing the accessory and when the appliance is not in use.
- If the appliance is faulty or malfunctions, switch it off and do not tamper with it. Any repairs must only be carried out by an authorised technical service centre.
- If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.
- ✉ NEVER immerse the appliance in water and never place it under running water.
- The appliance is NOT intended to be used with an external timer or through a separate remote control or similar systems.

IMPORTANT! RISK OF BURNS – do not touch the various bread containers, inside the cooking chamber, the tongs, the rack, the crumb tray or the heating elements, and the outer surfaces during operation and until the product is completely cool.
- DO NOT use the appliance near a washbasin full of water. During use, the appliance must be placed in such a way that it cannot fall in the washbasin.
- DO NOT use near a hob. Pay attention that the cable does not come into contact with hot, incandescent surfaces, open flames, pots and other utensils.
• Always place the appliance on a flat and even surface.

IMPORTANT! The bread can get burnt. Therefore, the toaster must not be used beneath or near combustible materials, such as curtains. It must be supervised during use.

CLEANING BEFORE FIRST USE
- Unpack the appliance.
- Clean the tongs (2) with soap and water or in the dishwasher without exceeding 55 °C.
- Clean the outer sides (7) with a damp and well-wrung sponge.
USE

Let it operate empty the first time it is used, to disperse the fumes and the typical smell of a new appliance.
- DO NOT leave food inside the cooking chambers (3) longer than necessary.
- Avoid food that drips during cooking.
- DO NOT force the filled slices of bread into the tongs (2) and the cooking chambers (3). If the toast remains too high, remove some filling and insert it again.

NEVER place the appliance on paper/cardboard or plastic surfaces.

Open the tongs (1) by pressing the handle (2) [Fig. B].
- Insert the food in the tongs (1) [Fig. C].
- Insert the tongs (1) in the cooking chambers (3) [Fig. D].
- Insert the plug (6) in the socket.
- Turn the timer knob (5) clockwise to select the desired cooking time [Fig. E].
• The appliance will switch off automatically and emit a beep. - Remove the tongs (1) and press the handle (2) to remove the toast.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Switch the toaster off.
- Remove the electric plug (6) from the socket.
- Let the toaster cool down completely.
- Remove the crumb tray (8) and empty it.
- Clean the tongs (2) and the crumb tray (8) with soap and water or in the dishwasher without exceeding 55 °C.
- Clean the outer sides (4) with a damp and well-wrung sponge. Dry with a dry cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Should one of the problems indicated occur, adopt the proposed solution:

DISPOSAL

The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of it in compliance with the environmental protection standards.

The appliance must be disposed of in compliance with EU standard 2002/96/EC. The recyclable materials contained in the appliance must be collected to prevent environmental pollution. For further information contact the local waste authority or the appliance retailer.
