Connection to the mains supply
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the blender. Th is product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.
Important safety instructions
Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it must not be used any longer: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
- The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.
Do not operate the appliance if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord. Damage cannot always be detected from the outside; the entire unit should therefore be checked by a qualified technician before it is used again.
- This appliance is not intended for use by any person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Caution: keep any packaging materials well away from children, as they are a potential source of danger e.g. from suffocation.
● Children must not use the blender without adult supervision. - Do not allow the unit or its power cord to touch hot surfaces or to come into contact with any heat sources.
● Always switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the wall socket before adding, changing, removing or cleaning any attachments or cutting tools. - Caution: The blades are extremely sharp. To prevent injuries, take special care when emptying or cleaning the bowl, or when otherwise handling these blades.
● After switching off, always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill. Do not touch any moving parts.
●Always remove the plug from the wall socket aft er use, and also -in case of any malfunction -during cleaning of the appliance.
- Great care is necessary when using this appliance, especially near children. Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected. Always remove the plug from the wall socket, even if you leave the room only for a short while
●During operation, the unit should be placed on a scratch-resistant surface. - No responsibility is accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with. Any misuse can cause severe personal injury.
● This appliance is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial applications. - In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to one of our customer service departments. The addresses can be found in the appendix to
this manual.
Before using for the first time
Before the appliance is used for the first time, all detachable parts must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General care and cleaning.
Short-time operation
The appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food; it can be operated without interruption for a maximum of 1 minute, when it should be allowed to cool down to room temperature. When using the chopping attachment, the appliance should be operated for a maximum of 10 seconds at a time, when it should be allowed to cool down to room temperature.

The blender is equipped with 2 push-type operating buttons.

Blender operation
When fi tting the blender attachment to the drive unit, ensure that the two arrow markings are aligned. To lock, turn the blender attachment so that the arrow on the drive unit is aligned with the lock symbol on the blender attachment.
Always use a suitable container for operation. The blender jar provided, or any tall container with a fl at base are suitable
Push the blender attachment down into the ingredients in the bowl before switching the unit on with the operation buttons.
Observe the maximum level mark on the - blender attachment: this mark has to remain visible during operation.
Make sure that the attachments can rotate freely inside the bowl and are not blocked during operation.
As soon as the operating button is released, the blender will switch off. Always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before lifting the blender attachment from the mixture.

Attachments
- Remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before changing any attachments.
The attachments are fitted to the drive unit. Ensure that the arrow markings on the drive unit and attachments are properly aligned.
Chopping attachment
-Remove the protective cover from the blade unit. Fit the cutting blade unit into the bowl before filling the bowl with the food to be chopped. Exercise extreme caution: the blades are very sharp. When handling the blades, always hold them by the upper protective plastic covering.
-Position the lid on the bowl and lock it by turning anti-clockwise until it is heard locking into place.
-Attach the drive unit to the lid of the bowl and turn to lock; ensure that the arrow and lock symbols are properly aligned.
Insert the plug into the wall socket and press the operating button in brief bursts until the mixture has reached the desired consistency. During processing, the lid and bowl should be securely held in place.
Avoid overfilling the bowl. It may be filled with herbs etc. up to half. Before the bowl is filled, the food to be processed should be cut into pieces of about 1 cm.
Do not fill the bowl with hot liquid or hard material such as ice cubes, nutmegs, hard grain, coffee beans, rice or spices. Other food items such as chocolate or raw meat are also unsuitable for processing.
After processing, always remove the plug from the wall socket before removing the lid and detaching the drive unit. The processed food and the blade unit can now be taken out.
When processing further food after the first cycle, make sure that the receptacle for the blade unit at the bottom of the bowl is free of food residue before refitting the unit.
Whisk attachment
The whisk attachment is suitable for whipping cream or beating egg-white, or for processing
liquids such as soups or sauces.
Fit the whisk attachment to the drive unit, ensuring that the arrow and lock symbols are properly aligned.
Always use a suitable container for operation. The blender jar provided, or any tall container with a fl at base are suitable.
Push the whisk attachment down into the ingredients in the bowl before briefly switching the unit on with the operation buttons.
Always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before lifting the whisk attachment from the mixture.

Processing bowl with non-slip base
If necessary, the non-slip base can be placed underneath the processing bowl to ensure a safe stand. It can also be used as a cover for the processing bowl.
General care and cleaning
Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the drive unit or the power cord with water and do not immerse them in water. The drive unit may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or sharp or pointed objects for cleaning.
The lid of the chopping attachment can be cleaned with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and a mild detergent. To prevent water from getting into the interior, do not immerse in water.
- The processing bowl, blade unit and blender jug can be cleaned in a dishwasher, or with hot water and a mild detergent. Caution: the blades are extremely sharp. Once dry, replace the protective cover on the blades.
-All other attachments can be cleaned using hot water and a mild detergent. Make sure that water does not enter the drive shaft of the blender or whisk attachments from above.
Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points.
Guarantee
- This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. Th is guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.
This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. Th is guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal
