Frequently Asked Questions - WGCT2RJRJ6 HAGER

How do I connect an RJ45 cable to the outlet?
Strip 30 mm of cable jacket, then terminate the wires according to TIA/EIA 568A or 568B color code using the IDC terminals. Ensure each pair is fully inserted and the cover plate is replaced.
How do I connect an RJ11 telephone cable?
Strip 10 mm of cable jacket, then position the first pair (typically blue/white) according to the pin assignment (pins 2-5). Terminate and replace the cover plate.
What tools are needed for installation?
You will need a flat-blade screwdriver to remove the frame and cover plates, and an IDC punch-down tool for wire termination.
Is this outlet compatible with Cat6A cables?
Yes, if the module inside is Cat6A rated. The outlet supports up to 500 MHz bandwidth and conductor diameters of 0.41-0.64 mm.
Can I install this outlet outdoors?
No, it is only suitable for indoor use in areas without drip or spray water.
How do I test the installation?
Perform a functional test for each data or telephone outlet using a network tester or continuity checker.
What is the minimum wall box depth required?
The recommended minimum wall box depth is 35 mm for proper flush installation.
How do I remove the frame for wiring?
Carefully insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the notches on the frame and gently pry it loose. Lift and remove the frame (and cover plate for Inspire series).
What are the differences between Hager Muse and Inspire frames?
Muse frames snap directly onto the device, while Inspire frames require placing the cover plate first and then fixing with the frame. Both are compatible with this outlet.
Can I combine multiple outlets in one wall box?
Yes, use 2-5 gang frames to combine multiple units in a single location.
