Important Warnings

Before turning on your appliance, and to ensure a safe and correct operation, do not use if:

1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance's. If this is not the case please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep the cord away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous. To avoid fire hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

Before cleaning, be sure to switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the mains power supply. Always allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.

Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents to clean this product. Empty the kettle and allow it to cool down, open the lid, lift out the filter, rinse the filter under warm water and brush off any impurities.

To assemble the water kettle, do the reverse procedure.

  • Read all instructions before using the product.
  • Before you connect the kettle to the mains supply, make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate, located on the bottom of the water kettle matches the mains voltage in your home. If it does not, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • If the kettle is overfilled, the boiling water may be ejected.
  • The kettle is only to be used with the provided stand.
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: - staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

  • catering and similar non-retail applications.

  • Do not operate the kettle if it is damaged, after an appliance malfunction or it has been damaged in any manner. Return it to the customer service department for repair, because special tools are required.

  • The water kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled. If you want to stop the heating process before the kettle automatically switches off, press the On/Off switch up.
  • After the kettle has switched off automatically (or has been switched off manually) it may need some time to cool down. After 15-20 seconds, the kettle can be switched on again.
  • Always fill the kettle with water before switching it on.
  • The kettle is designed to disconnect the live electrical supply from the element under abnormal operating conditions. If the water kettle is accidentally switched on without water, the boil dry protector will operate.

  • If the kettle ever boils dry, the power indicator will go out. Lift the On/Off switch and unplug. Allow 15 minutes for it to cool down. The safety cutout will automatically reset during this time. Remove the kettle from the power base and fill with cold water. The appliance will operate again.

  • Place the kettle on a stable flat surface.
  • Do not use this appliance outdoors.
  • Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its base.
  • Do not remove the kettle from its base during operation. Do not open the top lid during operation.
  • Never immerse the kettle or cord in water or any other liquid. Do not allow liquid to penetrate the electrical parts of this kettle.
  • Prevent children from pulling on the mains cord or knocking the kettle over.
  • Ensure that the mains lead does not overhang the worktop surface.
  • Only use the cord supplied with this kettle. If a replacement is required, only approved components may be used.

2. UTILIZATION AND FUNCTIONING

2.1. Product Description

2.2. Before First Use

Before first use, it is recommended to operate the kettle for 2 or 3 times following the instructions below. This will remove any dust or residues remaining from the manufacturing process.

• Take up the kettle from the base before filling.
- To fill the kettle, open the cover by pressing the lid button downwards, then fill to the desired level (Min. 0.75L - Max. 1.7L), close the lid by pressing it down until it clicks into place.
- Plug the power supply cord into the mains, press the On/Off switch down and the power indicator lights up.
- When the water has boiled the kettle will automatically switch itself off. You can stop the boiling process at any time by lifting the On/Off switch. The power indicator will go out.

2.3. Descaling

- Half fill the kettle with tap water and add the juice of 1 lemon to the water.

- Boil this mixture and allow it to stand for 15 minutes. Re-boil the mixture and allow it to stand a further 15 minutes. Re-boil this mixture a third time then rinse the kettle thoroughly.
