Frequently Asked Questions - ST-121101.4 Emerio

How do I clean the sandwich toaster?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Wipe the housing and cooking plates with a soft damp cloth. Use a soft brush to remove crumbs. Never immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.
Why does the green light turn off during use?
The green control light indicates when the appliance has reached the set temperature. It cycles on and off as the thermostat regulates the heat to maintain optimal toasting temperature.
Can I use metal utensils or knives to remove the sandwich?
No. Using sharp or metal objects can damage the non-stick coating. Always use a flat wooden or plastic spatula to avoid scratching.
What should I do if the appliance smokes when first used?
Some smoke and smell are normal during the first use as manufacturing residues burn off. This will stop after a short time. Ensure the room is well-ventilated.
How long does it take to heat a sandwich?
Typically 3 to 5 minutes. The green light will go off when ready. Cooking time may vary based on bread thickness and filling.
What type of bread and fillings work best?
Use sliced bread with butter on the outside for crispiness. Recommended fillings: cheese, ham, pineapple, tomatoes, cooked meat, onions, herbs. For fruit, sprinkle sugar on the buttered side.
Is the appliance safe for children to use?
Children aged 8 years and above can use it under supervision. Cleaning should only be done by children older than 8 with supervision. Keep the appliance and cord away from children under 8.
Can I close the appliance if the sandwich is too full?
No. If the filling is too thick, the appliance may not close properly. Remove some filling. Never force the lid shut as it could cause damage.
What is the warranty period?
The manufacturer offers a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Keep your receipt as proof. Damage from improper use or unauthorized repairs voids the warranty.
How should I dispose of the appliance at end of life?
Follow local recycling regulations. The product is marked according to EU Directive 2012/19/EU. Do not dispose with household waste; use designated collection points for environmentally safe recycling.
