Safety

Warning: Follow these instructions for your safety and the safety of others. Carefully read through all the instructions before using the radiator.

  • Only use the radiator with the feet attached. This model is not designed to be wall mounted.
  • Connect the radiator only to an earthed wall outlet with 220–240 V AC.
  • Only use the radiator as described in the instruction manual. Do not use the radiator for any purpose other than that for which it was intended or modify it in any way.
  • Make sure the radiator is clean and is not covered with dust or residue.
  • The radiator is intended to be placed feet-down on a firm, level surface.
    • Always unplug the radiator when it is not in use and before cleaning it.
  • The radiator is only intended for indoor use. Do not use the radiator in humid places or close to the bath or any other liquid-filled containers into which it may fall.
  • The radiator becomes very hot during use. Do not place the radiator close to combustible materials such as furniture, bedclothes, paper or wood. Do not place the radiator on soft carpets/mats or similar surfaces that can block the air inlets on the bottom panel.
  • The radiator must not be covered. This may block the air inlets and cause a fire hazard.
  • Make sure the flex is not too close to any hot part of the radiator which would cause the cable insulation to melt.
  • The radiator is not a toy. Do not let children play with or around the radiator without adult supervision when it is in use.
  • Never use the radiator in areas where flammable liquids/materials or gases (petrol, solvents, gas cylinders, etc.) are stored or used.
  • Do not use the radiator with an extension lead.
  • Never use the radiator if the flex, plug or any other part is damaged or is not working properly. Never try to repair the radiator yourself. Leave it to a professional tradesman.
  • Make sure that no foreign objects cover or obstruct the ventilation openings or outlet vents. This can increase risk for electric shock, fire or may damage the radiator irreparably.
  • Never place the radiator directly under a wall outlet.
  • Never use the radiator or an extension lead near the bath, shower, swimming pool, etc.
  • For extra safety, all electrical products connected to the mains should be run through an RCD for personal safety. The RCD should be rated to trip at 30 mA.

Assembly

Securely attach both feet to the bottom of the radiator using the supplied sheet metal screws. The radiator must not be used if the feet are damaged or missing.

Operating instructions

The temperature can be set in the range of 5–30 °C. The default factory setting for NORMAL is 24 °C and for ECONOMY, 17 °C.

  1. Plug the mains lead into a wall socket.
  2. Press [POWER].

  3. Find an appropriate location for the radiator and follow the safety instructions listed above.

Setting the temperature

NOTE: It is possible to programme 2 different preset temperatures into the radiator in order to be able to switch quickly between desired temperatures. For example, one temperature can be saved in NORMAL mode, and a lower temperature can be saved in ECONOMY mode for when a cooler room is preferred.

Programming the NORMAL mode temperature

  1. To change the temperature, press [SET]. The NORMAL indicator light on the control panel will flash. The current normal mode temperature will flash on the display.

  2. Press [▼ DOWN] or [▲ UP] to set the desired temperature.

Programming the ECONOMY mode temperature

  1. To change the temperature of the economy mode, press [SET] twice. The ECONOMY indicator light on the control panel will flash and the current temperature setting will flash on the display.
  2. Press [▼ DOWN] or [▲ UP] to set the desired temperature.
  3. When the temperature setting has been changed it will be shown on the display and saved in the memory.

NOTE: In order to activate the ECONOMY mode during programming, press and hold in [SET].

Selecting an operation mode NORMAL, ECONOMY or AF

  • Press [SET] twice to select the economy mode. The ECONOMY indicator light will start to flash. Press and hold in [SET] to confirm selection of the ECONOMY mode. The ECONOMY indicator light will now shine steadily to indicate that the radiator is in economy mode. The set temperature will be controlled by the thermostat.
  • Press [SET] once to select the NORMAL mode. The NORMAL indicator light will start to flash. Press and hold in [SET] to confirm the mode selection. The NORMAL indicator light will now shine steadily to indicate that the radiator is in normal mode.
  • Press [ SET ] four times to select the anti-frost mode. “AF” will appear on the display. Press and hold in [ SET ] to confirm the mode selection. In this mode the radiator will maintain a temperature of 5–7 °C by periodically switching on and off.

Setting the heating power mode: low, medium or high

To set the mode, press [SET] three times. Use [▼ DOWN] and [▲ UP] to adjust. "LO" is displayed when the lowest power mode is selected. "P2" when the medium power mode is selected and "HI" when high power is selected.

Setting the timer to switch off

  1. Whilst the radiator is in operation, press [ SET ] five times. “TIMER” flashes on the control panel and the display will show either “0” or the previously set value.
  2. Press [▼ DOWN] or [▲ UP] to set the time after which the radiator should switch off. The display will show the countdown of the time remaining before the radiator switches off.
  3. The set time is saved and the radiator automatically resumes temperature display mode. The TIMER indicator light on the control panel will come on.
  4. When the set time has elapsed, the radiator will switch off. The only light on the control panel will be the "POWER" indicator light.
  5. Switching the radiator off or setting the timer to 0 will deactivate the timer and the indicator light will go off.

Setting the timer to switch on

  1. Whilst the radiator is switched off and only the POWER indicator light is on, simultaneously press [SET] and [▲ UP]. The TIMER indicator light on the control panel will flash and "0.0" will appear on the display.
  2. Press [▼ DOWN] or [▲ UP] to set the time after which the radiator should switch on. The display will show the countdown of the time remaining before the radiator switches on.
  3. The set time value will be saved. The set time will appear on the display and the "TIMER" indicator light on the control panel will come on.
  4. When the set time has elapsed and the radiator comes on, it will heat the room to the set temperature.
  5. Switching the radiator off or setting the timer to 0 will deactivate the timer and the indicator light will go off. This applies even if the wall socket is switched off, the radiator is unplugged or if there is a power cut.

Keypad lock

In order to lock the buttons on the control panel, press and hold in [▼ DOWN] and [▲ UP ] simultaneously for three seconds whilst the radiator is switched on. “[ ]” will appear on the display. After 5 seconds, the “[ ]” symbol will disappear, the current temperature will be displayed and all the buttons will be locked. If any button on the control panel is pressed whilst the keypad is locked, “[]” will appear on the display.

Unlocking the control panel keypad

In order to unlock the buttons on the control panel, press and hold in [▼ DOWN] and [▲ UP] simultaneously for three seconds whilst the radiator is switched on.

Restart function

If there is a power cut, the radiator restarts automatically upon resumption of the power supply and work with the last user settings (except for the timer and keypad lock settings).

Switching off

Press [ POWER ] to switch the radiator off and then unplug it from the wall socket.

Care and maintenance

Cleaning

  • Unplug the mains lead before cleaning the radiator.
  • Use only a damp cloth when cleaning the exterior. Never use strong cleaning agents or solvents.
  • Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the openings when necessary.

Storage

Store the radiator in the box together with the instruction manual in a cool and dry location.
