Quelle est la différence entre les modèles CX-702 et CX-702V ?

Le CX-702V dispose en plus de la fonction mémoire d'alarme et d'une borne D.L. pour la commande à distance de la LED, alors que le CX-702 standard ne possède pas ces options.

Comment choisir entre les motifs de détection grand angle et longue portée ?

Retournez la lentille : le côté marqué W (Wide Angle) donne une couverture de 70 pi × 70 pi (21 m × 21 m) avec 68 zones, tandis que le côté L (Long Range) couvre 150 pi × 8 pi (45 m × 2,4 m) avec 22 zones. Par défaut, l'appareil est réglé en grand angle.

Comment ajuster la portée et la hauteur de détection ?

Réglez la position verticale de la lentille en alignant le bord supérieur sur les repères A, B ou C. Consultez le tableau de la notice pour associer la hauteur de montage et la distance souhaitée. Effectuez toujours un test de marche après réglage.

Quelle est la tension d'alimentation requise et comment dimensionner le câblage ?

L'alimentation doit être comprise entre 9,5 et 16 V CC. La longueur maximale des fils dépend de la section et de la tension. Par exemple, avec du fil AWG 22 (0,33 mm²) à 12 V, la longueur max est de 1700 pi (520 m) pour le CX-702. Pour plusieurs détecteurs sur un même câble, divisez cette longueur par le nombre d'unités.

Comment activer ou désactiver la LED d'alarme ?

Placez le cavalier Jumper Pin Switch sur ON ou OFF. Sur le CX-702V, vous pouvez aussi commander la LED à distance via la borne D.L. : reliez D.L. à la masse (0-1 V CC) pour allumer la LED, ou laissez ouvert (ou +5-16 V CC) pour l'éteindre.

Que signifie le comptage d'impulsions et comment le régler ?

Le comptage d'impulsions (Pulse Count) permet de filtrer les fausses alarmes. En mode 2, le détecteur est plus sensible (usage normal). En mode 4, il nécessite 4 déclenchements en 20 s (idéal en présence d'animaux ou d'objets en mouvement). Attention : ne pas utiliser le mode 4 en longue portée.

Comment utiliser la mémoire d'alarme sur le CX-702V ?

Connectez la borne A.M. à la borne de tension de statut d'armement du panneau de contrôle. Lorsque le système est armé, si le détecteur se déclenche, la LED restera allumée après désarmement pour indiquer l'alarme. La mémoire se réinitialise automatiquement lors du prochain armement.

Que faire si la LED ne s'allume pas ?

Vérifiez la tension d'alimentation (9,5-16 V CC), la polarité, l'état du cavalier LED (doit être sur ON), et la zone de détection. Assurez-vous qu'aucun objet ne bloque la vue. Si le problème persiste, testez le câblage.

Quelles sont les précautions d'installation à respecter ?

Évitez la lumière directe du soleil, les courants d'air (ventilateurs, climatisation), la vapeur ou l'humidité élevée, les rideaux ou écrans qui pourraient bloquer la détection. N'installez jamais le détecteur à l'extérieur. Montez-le solidement pour éviter les chutes.

Comment effectuer un test de marche (walktest) ?

Après avoir installé et réglé le détecteur, mettez-le sous tension. Marchez dans la zone de détection à une vitesse normale (0,3-1,5 m/s). La LED rouge doit s'allumer à chaque détection. Ajustez la position de la lentille si nécessaire et répétez le test.

4. INSTALLATION

Loosen fastening screw and remove cover.

Lead in wires through knockouts along the wiring guide on the rear side of base. Mount base with supplied screws. When using a bracket, check matching knockout position before opening mounting holes.Wire according to Section 5.

When you remove the PCB, push down on the hook under PCB and remove it from its base. Attachment of PCB is the reverse of removal.

Remove the screw fixed the lens holder(CX-702V Only), open the cover's hook and then lens cover can be removed.

Remove lens holder carefully. Select wide angle or long range according to Section 6-2. (Note: Factory default is WIDE ANGLE.)

Check to confirm that the lens is in the desires position. Press down the lens holder until it clicks into place along the guide of cover. Fix the screw at the end.

Conduct a walktest and make adjustments (Section 7). Fit cover using fastening screw.

6.ADJUSTMENTS FOR REQUIRED AREA PATTERN

The CX-702 is designed to provide ideal detection areas for different patterns ranging from 40ft.(12m) to 70ft.(21m) Wide Angle, and 80ft.(24m) to 150ft.(45m) Long Range.

The following adjustments will provide ideal detection areas for each of these requirements.

I. DETERMINE THE AREA PATTERN

Before making adjustments, determine the pattern area, detection range mounting height.

2 SELECTING WIDE ANGLE OR LONG RANGE DETECTION

1. Inverting the lens will select either the Wide Angle or Long Range detection patterns.
2. Please note markings "W(Wide Angle)" and "L(Long Range)", on each side of lens.
3. For Wide Angle, "W" will be on top of lens.
4. For Long Range, "L" will be on top of lens.

3.VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT OF DETECTION AREA

Adjust the vertical angle according to the desired detection range and mounting height.

1. Set the upper edge of the lens at either the "A", "B" or "C" position.
2. The following chart illustrates the different position setting.
3. Confirm the detection area by conducting a walktest.

7 FUNCTIONS

CAUTION!

Always conduct a walktest after changing the position of this switch to ensure the detector is still providing optimum coverage.

1. LEDON/OFF

Jumper Pin Switch

The Alarm LED indicator can be switched either "ON" or "OFF".

D.L. terminal (CX-702V Only)

LED can be enabled or disabled remotely from control panel by D.L. terminal.
1) Place Jumper Pin Switch in OFF position.
2)LED"ON":Connect DL terminal to common ground with detector.(0~1VDC,grounded)

LED"OFF": No Connection to the DL terminal.(OPEN or +5~16VDC)

2. PULSE COUNT

The Detection Mode can be switched to either "2" or "4" mode depending on the environmental conditions of the installation.

2: For normal applications.
4: For use in hostile areas where there may be movement of small animals or other objects such as fax machines or curtains.

When the "4" is selected, the detector's sensitivity may seem sluggish. It is therefore important to always conduct a walktest to ensure that the desired coverage is given.

3. ALARM MEMORY ( CX-702V Only )

Alarm Memory

This function is used to indicate if the detector was activated while the panel was armed. It will cause the red LED on the Detector to illuminate once the panel has been disarmed.

Compatible Control Panel is required for Alarm memory.

Connect A.M. terminal to Control Panel's Control Voltage Signal terminal (System Arming Status Voltage Output).

Operation

If the unit triggered during armed period, when the system is disarmed, LED will remain lit to confirm that it reported an alarm.
Alarm Memory will operate even when LED is switched OFF.
Alarm Memory will not operate while system is disarmed.
After Alarm Memory latches, Alarm Output and LED operate normally during armed period.

Reset

Alarm Memory resets automatically when system is re-armed.

AM Jumper

POSITIVE:Leave AM Jumper as it is. NEGATIVE: Cut AM Jumper as shown.
