The new Ford Fiesta ECOnetic delivers an amazing 76.3 mpg (combined cycle). And with CO_2 emissions of just 98 g/km, it is exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty, as well as the fees charged for resident parking permits by some local authorities.

ECOnetic emissions-reducing features:
Lowered suspension
Lowers the height of the car to improve aerodynamic efficiency
Rear-wheel air deflectors
Controls airflow over the rear wheels and wheel arches to reduce drag and lift
Special engine calibration
The 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi 90 PS engine and 5-speed transmission have been modified for optimum fuel economy without compromising the acclaimed driveability of the new Ford Fiesta
Special instrument cluster display
Contains optimum upshift gear-change timing indicator to help improve fuel economy
Coated diesel particulate filter (cDPF)
Helps reduce diesel particulate emissions from the vehicle's exhaust
