Comment allumer le radiateur DELONGHI SRI ?

Tournez le robinet de la bouteille de gaz pour ouvrir l'arrivée de gaz. Enfoncez complètement le bouton de commande pendant environ 10 secondes, puis tournez-le sur la position petite flamme (faible puissance) tout en maintenant enfoncé. Si la veilleuse ne s'allume pas, revenez à la position de départ et répétez. Une fois allumée, maintenez le bouton enfoncé encore 20 secondes pour chauffer le thermocouple, puis tournez-le sur le réglage souhaité (petite, moyenne ou grande flamme).

Quelle est la puissance maximale du radiateur ?

La puissance maximale est de 4,20 kW, ce qui correspond à une consommation de 305 g/h de gaz propane.

Puis-je utiliser ce radiateur dans une salle de bain ou une chambre ?

Non, ce radiateur ne doit pas être utilisé dans les salles de bains, chambres, sous-sols ou pièces dont le volume est inférieur à 15 m³ (pour la faible puissance) ou 42 m³ (pour la puissance maximale). Il doit être placé dans une pièce bien ventilée.

Quelle distance de sécurité dois-je respecter autour du radiateur ?

Respectez une distance minimale de 200 mm des côtés et de 1500 mm devant l'appareil. Ne placez pas le radiateur près de rideaux, meubles ou autres matériaux inflammables.

Comment nettoyer le radiateur ?

Essuyez l'appareil avec un chiffon doux et humide, uniquement lorsqu'il est éteint et froid. Nettoyez les grilles d'entrée et de sortie d'air avec un aspirateur pour enlever la poussière. N'utilisez pas de solvants ou de détergents abrasifs.

Que faire en cas de fuite de gaz ?

Coupez immédiatement le gaz au niveau de la bouteille, ouvrez les fenêtres pour aérer la pièce. Ne débranchez pas le régulateur. Éteignez toute flamme nue. Vérifiez les connexions avec de l'eau savonneuse : des bulles indiquent une fuite. Si une fuite est détectée, fermez le gaz et contactez votre revendeur. N'utilisez jamais d'allumettes pour rechercher une fuite.

Quel type de gaz utiliser ?

Ce radiateur fonctionne uniquement au gaz propane (GPL) avec une pression nominale de 2,8 kPa. Utilisez un régulateur basse pression conforme à la norme SABS S1237.

Quelle est la pression de gaz requise ?

La pression nominale du gaz doit être de 2,8 kPa. Le régulateur réduit la pression de la bouteille (environ 700 kPa) à cette valeur.

Quelles sont les précautions de sécurité importantes ?

Utilisez le radiateur uniquement dans une pièce bien ventilée. Ne le couvrez jamais pendant son fonctionnement. Ne le déplacez pas lorsqu'il est allumé. Assurez-vous que la bouteille de gaz est en position verticale. Vérifiez régulièrement l'état du tuyau en caoutchouc et du joint torique. Remplacez-les si nécessaire.

Comment entretenir le joint torique (O-ring) ?

Vérifiez le joint torique avant chaque utilisation après une longue période d'inactivité. Remplacez-le s'il est fissuré ou endommagé. Effectuez une vérification régulière chaque année en mars/avril. Lors du raccordement, assurez-vous que le joint est en place et en bon état.

This appliance is designed to operate with LPG at nominal pressure: 2,8 kpa. For a correct gas combustion the required air quantity is 8,4 m^3/h .

WARNINGS

• ALWAYS use heater in accordance with instructions. Read the instructions book carefully and keep it in a safe place.
• This appliance requires a rubber tube and a pressure regulator in accordance with the law in force. If not supplied check with your gas supplier.
• Use ONLY in a well ventilated area.
• This appliance MUST NOT be used in basements, high rise flats, bathrooms or bedrooms and in rooms having volume less than 15 m^3 ( 30 m^3 in living rooms).
• This appliance emits the combustion residues in the room in which is used.
• DO NOT place clothes or other materials on the heater, as apart from the danger of fire their presence could affect the efficient working of the appliance (fig. 1).
• DO NOT move heater from room to room when it is lit (fig. 2).
• DO NOT position heater alongside a wall or near curtains or arm-chairs etc. (fig. 3 - 4).

• ALWAYS face heater towards centre of room. Special care should be taken if the heater is on a surface where it can move or twist on its wheels or castors if knocked by a child or dog, etc.
• Minimum Clearance : 200 mm from sides, 1500 mm from front.
• Be sure installation is complying to local standard.
• The heater you have purchased is fitted with safety devices which come on in the event of malfunctioning while the appliance is in use. If the pilot light (placed opposite the burner) accidentally goes out, or if the room is not sufficiently ventilated, the safety device will block the gas flow, causing the heater to go off.

Gas leakages

If a leak is suspected, turn off gas at the gas bottle, open the window and air the room. DO NOT disconnect the pressure regulator. Extinguish all naked lights. Slowly turn the gas on and brush the connections with soapy water or liquid detergent - a gas leak will form bubbles. If a leak is found, turn the gas off and inform your Dealer. DO NOT use the heater again until it has been inspected by your Dealer.

NEVER USE MATCHES TO FIND LEAKS.

ASSEMBLY

1) Place the gas cylinder in the gas cylinder compartment and connect the regulator to the cylinder as shown on page 3.
2) To fit the backcover, insert the two tabs located on the left-hand side of the backcover into the corresponding slots in the cabinet. Then insert the tab on the right hand side into its slot.

IMPORTANT: to remove the backcover, lift the backcover and pull clear of the slots.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Gas bottle

Gas Bottle with 9 kg of maximum capacity can be installed. Changing of gas bottle must not be carried out in the presence of a naked flame. Use the gas bottle always in upright position. MAKE SURE the black neoprene "O -Ring Seal is in place or the regulator bullnose. Regularly examine, and if unduly compressed or damaged, replace. Support regulator with one hand while aligning the regulator bullnose (threaded part) with the threaded gas outlet on cylinder valve. Screw regulator handwheel ANTICLOCKWISE (LEFT HAND THREAD) into gas outlet. Tighten regulator handwheel as ttight as possible by hand only. DO NOT USE TOOLS OR LEVERS TO TIGHTEN. When connecting the regulator to the gas cylinder, avoid undue twisting of the flexible hose. To place the bottle in position, remove the rear panel; than put the bottle in position and replace the panel.

PLACE teh cylinder in the heater cabinet so that the cylinder valve is facing into the compartment. Take care to ensure that is positioned in such a way that the flexible hose does not come into contact with the metal panels of the heater, and avoid twisting of the flexible hose. OPEN cylinder valve by turning handwheel ANTICLOCKWISE. Now refer to the lighting instruction on the heater itself. Please read carefully and follow the instructions. Do not turn the bottle upside down to use completely its content.

Pressure regulators, rubber tubes and clips

CHECK that tubing is completely over the nozzles at each end of the tubing and that it is held firmly in place by tube clips (See fig.9). Check the expiry date and state of the rubber tube regularly. If it is past its expiry date or has been damaged, replace it with one which complies with the current regulations. Avoid bending or constricting the rubber tube when the pressure regulator is connected to the gas cylinder. This heater must be used with an approved Low Pressure Regulator which complies with SAB S1237.

The regulator is required to reduce the pressure of the gas in the cylinder from about 700 kPa to about 2,8 kpa to operate the radiant - the heating panels).

Ventilation

USE ONLY IN A WELL VENTILATED ROOM

Adequate ventilation must be provided in rooms in which the heater is used. This ensures removal of the products of combustion and allows the entry of replacement air. The following table shows the smallest size of room suitable for each heat setting and the dimensions of the aperture which must be provided equally divided between high and low level, according with the maximum, medium or minimum power.

Safety guard

The guard is to prevent risk of fire and no part of it should be permanently removed.

It does not give full protection for young children or the infirm.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Lighting the heater

1. Turn on the gas at the gas bottle tap.
2. FROM « ● » POSITION, fully depress the control knob for 10 seconds and turn to (Small Flame) position. (If pilot flame does not ignite return to starting position and repeat). Continue to fully depress the knob for a further 20 seconds to allow the thermocouple probe to heat up, then turn the knob to select the desired setting as follows:

(Small Flame) Low Input (Big Flame) Maximum Input,

(Medium Flame) Medium Input,

In the event of "burn back" turn off and try again. Should it happen a second time, return the unit to the dealer.

Auxiliary ignition

Should piezoelectric starter fail to work, repeat operation on control knob and use a match to light pilot flame.

Turning off the heater

Turn off the gas bottle tap.

The Heater will be totally "OFF" only if the tap at the gas bottle is turned off.

Important

When the operating knob is left at the end of the starting time (see rating plate), this must move up about 5 mm and return to his starting height. If this does not happen, shut the gas valve and contact your aftersales service centre. Do not let the item work with the operating knob pressed downwards by force.

IMPORTANT

DO NOT cover the appliance when in operation, this could cause a dangerous risk of fire.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Use the appliance only standing on the floor.
• The heater must always operate in upright position.
• Never direct the hater air flow towards furniture, curtains , spray cans and inflammable material.
• Do not install the appliance in a room which might contain gas, oil or sulphur, or near sources of heat.
• After an extended period when the heater is not in use check the "O"-Ring Seal before lighting up the heater. Replace the "O" Ring Seal if cracked or broken.
• Do not use the appliance in the mountains at high altitudes.
• DIARISE: During March/April of each year check the "O" Ring Seal.

MAINTENANCE

Wipe your appliance with a soft damp cloth and only when it is switched off, cold and unplugged. Do not use solvents or abrasives detergents.

Check that there is no dust blocking the air inlet or outlet grids. Clean using a vacuum cleaner. When not in use remove plug from socket. When not in use the heater should be covered and stored in a dust-free place. Refer any major maintenance to your Local Authorised Dealer. Major servicing should be carried out every 2 - 3 years. If in doubt refer to your nearest authorised dealer.
