INTRODUCTION
This USB Gigabit Ethernet dongle is designed to offer a fully integrated, cost effective and reliable solution to users without or would like to have an extra Gigabit Ethernet interface in their laptop or notebook system.
It is easy to install, just load the driver and plug the USB Gigabit Ethernet dongle to any USB port. No need to open the computer case!

- Fully compliant with USB Specification Rev. 3.0 (*), USB Specification Rev. 2.0 and 1.1
• Supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T with auto-negotiation
• Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802.3ab/802.3az (Energy Efficient Ethernet) specification - Support full duplex operation with IEEE 802.3x flow control and half duplex operation with back-pressure flow control

DRIVER INSTALLATION
Installing Driver for Windows 8 / 7 / Vista / XP 32- / 64-bit:
- Start Windows and insert the driver CD into the CDROM drive, assume driver D.
- Plug in the dongle to your computer, and Windows will automatically detect it.
- Follow the driver installation wizard, and browse to the following folder on the driver CD according to your operating system:
- Windows 8 32-bit D:\ASIX\AX88179\Win8\32bit
- Windows 8 64-bit D:\ASIX\AX88179\Win8\64bit
- Windows 7 32-bit D:\ASIX\AX88179\Win7\32bit
- Windows 7 64-bit D:\ASIX\AX88179\Win7\64bit
- Windows Vista / XP 32-bit D:\ASIX\AX88179\XP\32bit
- Windows Vista / XP 64-bit D:\ASIX\AX88179\XP\64bit
Or you may also double click setup.exe to start the driver installation in "setup folder" under the corresponding folder of each operation system.
- Follow the on-screen instructions until the driver is installed completely..
Installing Driver for MAC:
- Start MAC computer and insert the driver CD into the CDROM drive.
- Browse for \ASIX\AX88179\MAC and then double click to run AX88179.dwg inside the CD.
- Execute the AX88179 installer inside the pop-up window.
- Follow the driver installation wizard, and the MAC computer should be rebooted automatically after the process complete.
- Plug in the dongle to your computer, and it can be used now.

IMPORTANT NOTE
In case of a high electrostatic discharge and fast transient disturbance from the power source, you may need to reset the USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet dongle manually by unplugging the Ethernet dongle from the USB port for few seconds before plugging it again.
