After entering your 6-digit code, you must turn the handle within 3 seconds. If you do not do this within the time limit, the lock will automatically lock and you will have to start over.

Here is the correct procedure:

Enter your 6-digit code on the numeric keypad
Wait for the double beep that confirms the code is correct
Within 3 seconds, immediately turn the handle to open the door

Important points to check:

You are entering exactly 6 digits (factory code: 123456 if not changed)
You hear the double beep confirming the correct code
You turn the handle quickly - you only have 3 seconds
An incorrect code produces a long beep and the lock does not open
If you enter 4 consecutive incorrect codes, the lock automatically locks for 5 minutes (flashing light)

If the double beep sounds but you turn the handle after 3 seconds, the lock will have already automatically locked - this is normal operation. Start over and be quicker.
