For the Zappiti 4K to scan your new hard drive, you must first ensure that it is properly installed and recognized by the device.

Installing the internal hard drive

The Zappiti 4K has a SATA 3.5" hard drive bay that can accommodate up to 8 TB (preformatted drive only). To install it, open the access hatch on the side of the device, insert the drive with the connectors facing forward, and then close the hatch to finalize the connection.

Supported formats: The drive must be preformatted in EXT2, EXT3, NTFS, or HFS. The Zappiti 4K cannot format drives itself.

Media library and scan

Once the drive is installed and recognized, the Zappiti Media Center V4 automatically analyzes the content to organize your library. To optimize this analysis:

Organize your files into FILMS and SERIES folders
Name your TV series according to the convention: "series_name s01e01"
The Media Center automatically retrieves covers and metadata

If some content is misidentified, press the MENU button, select "Identify Again", and manually choose the correct match from the suggestions.
