How do I assemble the fan?

Refer to the assembly diagram in the manual. Attach the base to the pipe, then slide the head assembly onto the pipe and secure it. Install the rear grill, blade, spinner, and front grill. A quick assembly video is available at www.lasko.com/how-to.

How do I clean the fan?

Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove lint and dirt from the grill. Wipe the body with a soft cloth. Never use alcohol, gasoline, benzene, paint thinner, or other harsh cleaners.

The fan does not turn on. What should I check?

First, ensure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet. If using the remote, check that the batteries are new and installed correctly (polarity + and -). Also, the built-in safety fuse in the plug may have blown; if so, the fan needs service.

Can I use an extension cord?

Avoid using extension cords, power strips, or outlet-style air fresheners. These devices may overheat and create a fire hazard. If you must use an extension cord, ensure it is rated for the fan's power draw.

How do I use the remote control?

Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote. Press the power button to turn the fan on/off, and the speed button to cycle through 4 speeds. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types.

Is this fan safe to use outdoors?

No, this fan is for indoor residential use only. It is not designed for outdoor or wet locations such as bath tubs, pools, or hot tubs. Using it outdoors may cause electric shock.

Does the fan oscillate?

Yes, push down the oscillation knob on the motor housing to make the fan head move from side to side. Pull up to stop oscillation.

How do I adjust the height?

Loosen the collar at the base of the head assembly, slide the pipe up or down to the desired height, then tighten the collar to secure.

The remote control does not work. What can I do?

The Blue Plug" on your Lasko Fan is a safety feature. It contains a non-replaceable safety device (fuse) that should not be removed or tampered with. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury, DO NOT attempt to remove, replace, repair or tamper with the originally supplied plug. If the Fan has stopped functioning, it may be due to the safety device Incorporated in this plug.
THIS FAN HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other). This plug is designed to fit into the outlet only one way. Match the wide blade to wide slot in outlet and FULLY INSERT, DO NOT attempt to bypass or defeat this safety feature. If the plug does not fit in the outlet, consult a qualified electrician. The outlet may need to be replaced.

CAUTION

• AVOID the use of extension cords, power strips, power taps, outlet style air fresheners or other cord connected device, as these devices may overheat and cause a live hazard.

• DO NOT use this Fan outdoors or near water or wet locations such as a bath tub, pool or hot tub. Use of this Fan in a wet location may create a shock hazard.
  • DO NOT run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• NEVER use a single extension cord to operate more than one Fan or other electrical device.
• DO NOT use this Fan if it has been damaged or is not functioning properly.
• Remote controls for other appliances or electronic equipment can sometimes interfere with the operation of this Fan. If this occurs, move the Fan to another location.

5. Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.

6. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.

8. Remove used batteries promptly.
