Frequently Asked Questions - ISM-325W Imarflex

How do I use the Imarflex ISM-325W Waffle Maker for the first time?
Before first use, wipe the plates with a damp cloth. Preheat the waffle maker with the lid closed for about 5 minutes. The indicator light will turn off when ready. Lightly grease the plates with cooking spray or oil, pour in batter, and close the lid. Cook until golden brown.
Can I use metal utensils on the non-stick plates?
No, avoid metal utensils as they can scratch the non-stick coating. Use silicone, wood, or plastic utensils to remove waffles.
What type of batter works best?
Standard waffle batter works well. Do not overfill; pour enough to just cover the lower grid. The batter will expand during cooking.
How do I clean the waffle maker?
Unplug and let it cool completely. Wipe the plates with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, use a soft brush. Never immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.
Why is the indicator light not turning on?
Check that the unit is plugged into a working outlet. The power indicator should light up when connected. If not, the fuse may be blown; contact customer service.
Can I store the waffle maker vertically?
Yes, the unit can be stored vertically to save space. Ensure it is completely cool and dry before storing. Wrap the cord around the base.
What is the warranty period for the ISM-325W?
Imarflex typically offers a 1-year warranty from date of purchase. Keep the receipt for warranty claims. For specific terms, refer to the manual or contact Imarflex.
How do I adjust the browning level?
The thermostat control knob allows you to select your preferred doneness. Turn clockwise for darker waffles, counterclockwise for lighter. The ready light indicates when the set temperature is reached.
What should I do if the waffles stick to the plates?
Ensure the plates are properly greased before each use. If sticking persists, the non-stick coating may be damaged. Avoid using spray oils with lecithin, which can build up and cause sticking.
Can I use this waffle maker for other foods?
It is designed for waffle batter only. Do not use for meats, vegetables, or other foods as they may damage the coating and create a fire hazard.
