How do I clean the XU1 XAG-401U mill?

Unplug the mill and wipe the stainless steel bowl with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. The bowl is removable for easy cleaning.

Can I grind wet ingredients with this mill?

No, this mill is designed for dry beans, spices, and grains only. Wet ingredients may damage the motor.

What is the maximum grinding time?

Do not operate continuously for more than 30 seconds. Let the mill cool down for 2 minutes between uses.

How do I adjust the grind size?

Turn the grind size selector on the lid to your desired setting: fine for espresso, coarse for French press.

Is the blade replaceable?

Yes, replacement blades are available from XU1 authorized retailers. Contact support for part numbers.

Why does the mill stop during operation?

The mill has overheat protection. If it stops, let it cool for 10 minutes before restarting. Ensure the bowl is not overloaded.

Can I grind nuts in this mill?

Yes, but only dry nuts like almonds or peanuts. Grind in short bursts and monitor to avoid overheating.

What do the different grind settings mean?

Setting 1 is finest for espresso, setting 6 is medium for drip coffee, and setting 12 is coarse for French press.

How do I replace the bowl?

Turn the bowl counterclockwise to unlock and lift off. Place the new bowl and turn clockwise to lock into place.

Is the mill safe for continuous use?

No, the mill is designed for intermittent use. Follow the duty cycle: max 30 seconds on, 2 minutes off.

This safety guard is designed for cutting and grinding/sanding. (not included in items supplied)

Proper use

The angle grinder is designed for grinding metal and stone when using the appropriate grinding wheel and guard. Warning! To cut metal and stone the grinder/sa der may only be used when the guard (available as an accessory) is mounted.

The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user/operator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this.

Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.
