Frequently Asked Questions - 2510 Lasko

How do I assemble the Lasko 2510 fan?
To assemble, first interlock the two support bases (A and B) using the bosses and holes. Thread the power cord through the center hole. Secure the base assembly to the fan using the four thumb screws. Align the tabs on the base with the slots on the fan bottom, ensuring the cord channel faces the back. Then gently pull excess cord and place it in the wire locating trough.
How do I clean the fan?
Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and lint from the grills and interior. Wipe the body with a soft cloth. Never use alcohol, solvents, or immerse the fan in water.
How do I set the timer?
Press the Timer button on the fan or remote control. Each press increases the time by 1 hour, up to 7 hours. The timer lights on the front panel indicate the selected duration. Pressing the timer button once more after 7 hours resets to continuous operation.
What type of battery does the remote control use?
The remote requires one AAA battery (not included). Install it according to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types (alkaline, standard, rechargeable).
Why is my fan not turning on?
First, check that the power cord is firmly plugged into a 120V outlet. The fan's Blue Plug contains a non-replaceable safety fuse; if the fan suddenly stops, the fuse may have blown. Try plugging it into a different outlet. If it still doesn't operate, contact Lasko Customer Service at 1-800-233-0268.
Can I use an extension cord with this fan?
No. The manual advises against using extension cords, power strips, or outlet-style air fresheners, as they may overheat and cause a fire hazard. Plug the fan directly into a wall outlet.
Can I use the fan outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This fan is for indoor residential use only. Do not use it outdoors or near water, such as in a bathroom, pool, or hot tub, as it creates a shock hazard.
How do I activate the oscillation feature?
Press the Oscillation button (marked with a symbol) on the top of the fan or on the remote control. Press once to start oscillation, press again to stop. The fan will oscillate from side to side.
What should I do if I lose the remote control?
You can order a replacement remote by calling Lasko Customer Service at 1-800-233-0268, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM EST. Have your model number (2510) ready.
What is the warranty coverage for the Lasko 2510?
The fan is covered by a one-year limited warranty from the date of original purchase for the original buyer only. It covers defects in workmanship and materials. Lasko will repair or replace defective parts or the unit at its option. You must return the product with proof of purchase and a Return Authorization (RA) number. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorized repairs, or commercial use.
