Frequently Asked Questions - HAC-CR09WHN Heinner

How do I clean the air filter?
Turn off and unplug the unit. Open the filter cover by pressing the tabs. Remove the filter and wash it with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Clean the filter every two weeks for optimal performance.
What does error code E1 mean?
Error E1 indicates a faulty room temperature sensor. Unplug the unit and wait 10 minutes, then restart. If the error persists, contact customer service.
Can I use an extension cord?
No, it is not recommended. The air conditioner draws high power. Plug directly into a wall outlet rated for the unit's current (4.5A). Using an extension cord may cause overheating or fire.
How do I install the exhaust hose?
Attach the hose adapter to the back of the unit. Extend the hose and connect it to the window kit. Adjust the window kit to fit your window opening. Ensure the hose is as straight and short as possible for best efficiency.
Does the unit require a drain bucket?
No, this model uses self-evaporation technology. Most moisture is evaporated and exhausted through the hose. However, in humid conditions, the internal water tank may fill up; you can drain it via the lower drain plug.
What is the cooling area?
The HAC-CR09WHN is designed to cool up to 25 square meters (approx. 270 sq ft). Actual performance may vary based on room insulation, sunlight exposure, and layout.
How do I use the timer function?
Press the Timer button on the remote or control panel. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired off time (0-24 hours). Press Timer again to confirm. The unit will turn off after the set duration.
Why is the unit not cooling enough?
Check if the air filter is dirty. Ensure all windows and doors are closed. Verify the exhaust hose is not blocked or kinked. If the room is too large (above 25 m²), the unit may struggle. Also, measure the distance from the unit to the ceiling; it should be at least 30 cm.
What is the noise level?
The noise level is ≤ 65 dB(A) on maximum fan speed. On lower speeds it is quieter. This is comparable to a normal conversation or background music.
How do I change the fan speed?
Press the Fan Speed button repeatedly to cycle through Low, Medium, and High. The current speed is shown on the display. You can also use the remote control.
