How do I pair my Bluetooth device to the ITB174B soundbar?

Power on the soundbar and press the Source button to switch to Bluetooth mode (slowly flashing blue light). Then press and hold the Pair button on the side of the unit until the indicator flashes blue quickly. On your Bluetooth device, search for 'ITB174' and select it. If prompted, enter password 0000.

What should I do if the optical audio input is not working?

Ensure you are using a correct Toslink cable and it is firmly seated in both the source and soundbar. The source must have optical output activated (red light from the socket) and set to output PCM, not Dolby Digital. Also, select SPDIF mode on the soundbar (amber light).

How do I use the Learn Feature?

With the soundbar off, press the Learn button on the unit (red light flickers). Press the button you want to learn on the included remote (e.g., Volume+). Then press the corresponding button on your TV remote. A green light confirms success. Press Learn again to save. Repeat for each button.

Can I control the soundbar with my TV remote?

Yes, using the Learn Feature. You can teach the soundbar to respond to Power, Volume, and Mute commands from your TV remote. Note that some functions like bass/treble are only available on the included remote.

What type of battery does the remote control use?

The remote uses a CR2025 button cell battery, which is pre-installed. If replacement is needed, open the battery compartment and insert a new CR2025 with the correct polarity.

What do the different indicator lights mean?

The front LED shows: Red (power off), Green (Line In mode), Amber (Optical/SPDIF mode), White (Aux/Bluetooth pairing? Actually Aux is white), Flashing Blue (Bluetooth pairing), Solid Blue (Bluetooth connected).

How do I clean the soundbar?

Unplug the unit and clean it with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use any liquids or abrasive cleaners. Avoid getting moisture into any openings.

What is the maximum TV size and weight the soundbar can support?

The soundbar/TV stand is designed to support flat panel TVs from 20 to 55 inches, weighing up to 75 pounds (34 kg). Always ensure the TV is centered and stable.

Can I connect a subwoofer to this soundbar?

Yes, there is a dedicated RCA subwoofer output on the back. Connect an external powered subwoofer using an RCA cable. Audio from any source will automatically use the subwoofer.

When the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

Using the Stereo RCA Inputs...

When connecting two products using an RCA Cable, match the colored ports with the same colored connection.

1. Connect the RCA Cable to the RCA Stereo Inputs located on the back of the unit, and to the audio outputs on the television.
2. Press the Power button to power on the unit.
3. Press the Source button repeatedly to enter AUX Mode, indicated by a white light.
4. Audio played through the television will now be heard through the speakers.

and the Subwoofer Output

1. Use an RCA cable to connect an external subwoofer to the Subwoofer Output.
2. When audio is played through any source, the speaker will automatically use the connected subwoofer.

Using the Optical Input

You will need: An audio source with an Optical Audio Output and a Digital Optical Audio Cable (not included)

1. Connect the Digital Optical Audio Cable to the optical output on the audio source and to the Optical Input on the speaker bar.
2. Press the Power button to power the unit on.
3. Press the Source button repeatedly to switch to SPDIF Mode, indicated by a amber light.
4. Using the native controls on your connected device, make sure the audio settings are set to PCM or Optical Audio and are turned On.
5. Audio from the connected audio source will now be played through the speakers.

Important tips for optical audio:

Use the correct toslink cable and make sure that it is firmly seated in both source and sound bar sockets.

Optical output is activated on the source (they should see a red light emitting from the toslink socket). It may be labeled SPDIF in the setting menu of the source.

The optical output is set to output PCM and not Dolby Digital.

Using the Line In

3.5 mm audio input cable not included.

1. Plug one end of a 3.5 mm audio input cable into the Line In on the unit. and plug the other end of the cable into the audio output/headphone output on an MP3 Player or other audio source.
2. Press the Power button to power the unit on.
3. Press the Source button repeatedly to enter Line In Mode, indicated by a green light.
4. Audio played through the connected device will now be heard through the speakers.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device for the First Time

1. Power on the unit by pressing the Power button.
2. Press the 🧿 button on the remote to switch to Bluetooth Mode., indicated by a slowly flashing blue light.
3. Press and hold the Pair button on the side of the unit. The pairing indicator will flash blue quickly. When pairing, remain within 3 feet of the unit.
4. Using the native controls on your Bluetooth device, select the ITB174 in your Bluetooth settings to pair. If your device requests a password, enter the default password 0 0 0 0 . Refer to the user's manual for your specific device for instructions on pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices.
5. When successfully paired and connected, a beep will issue from the unit and the Pairing Indicator will display a solid blue light.

After initial pairing, the unit will stay paired unless unpaired manually by the user or erased due to a reset of the device. If your device should become unpaired or you find it is unable to connect, repeat the above steps.

Playing Audio Wirelessly

1. After pairing to a bluetooth device, use the native controls on the connected Bluetooth Device to select a track.
2. Play, pause or skip a selected track using the native controls on the connected Bluetooth Device.
3. Audio played through the connected Bluetooth device will now be heard through the speakers.

What Is the Learn Feature?

The Learn feature captures remote commands from your television remote, and teaches your bar speaker to operate when these commands are pressed. Power, volume and mute are a few examples of commands that the bar speaker can learn.

Why Use the Learn Feature?

Teaching the bar speaker remote commands will reduce the number of remotes needed, save time searching for remote codes, and improve the ease of operation.

Note: Not all functions of the sound bar will be available through your own remote control, such as bass and treble. Use the included remote for these functions. While ITB174B is able to learn most IR protocols, not all can be programmed.

Using the Learn Feature

1. With the power Off, press the Learn button on the unit. An indicator will flicker red.

2. Press the button you desire to be learned on the included remote. For example: Volume +

3. The red light will continue to flicker, and another indicator will display a blue light.

4. Press the corresponding button on your remote.

5. The red light will continue to flicker, and another indicator will display a green light.

6. Press the Learn button on the unit.

7. The programmed button on your remote will now be able to control your sound bar. Note: It is necessary to program each button i.e. channel and volume + and - separately.

8. To start over, press and hold the learn key for over 3 seconds. If the sound bar has failed to learn a command, all the LED indicators will display a light for two seconds to signal the learning function has been reset.
