Stainless Steel Mixing Blade
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It can be plugged into a standard electrical outlet.
TO USE:
- Before using for the first time, clean all parts. (See CARE AND CLEANING instructions.) Do not immerse motor end of unit in water.
- This Hand Blender blends, mixes and chops fast and easily. Use it to make sauces, soups, mayonnaise, purees, dietetic and baby food, mixed drinks or cocktails.
CAUTION: Do not use blender in saucepan directly on stovetop. Remove pan from heat before blending.
- Do not lower blender into container beyond the top of the blade assembly.
- Place blade-end of blender into bottom of cup or other container first, to prevent splashing.
• To avoid spattering, never lift blender out of ingredients while motor is on.
• To prevent overheat, we recommend the continuous usage of not more than 1 minute for every single operation.
- Blender has a switch that prevents unit from activating accidentally while not in use. To operate, push down maintaining pressure on switch for continuous blending. Blending action stops when switch is released
NOTE: During use, it is normal for a auction to be created at the bottom of the container.

CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance is permanently lubricated and will not require additional lubrication for the life of the unit. It contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel.
• Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
• To detach blade assembly, grasp unit in both hands, twist blade assembly counterclockwise and pull off. Wash blade end with warm, soapy water and a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly before reassembling.
• To attach blade assembly, reconnect shaft of blade assembly to motor end and twist clockwise until secure.
Wipe motor end of handle with a damp cloth or sponge. NEVER IMMERSE MOTOR END IN WATER.
• The plastic blending cup may be placed in the top rack of dishwasher.
STORING THE UNIT
Unplug appliance and store in its box or in a clean, dry place.
- Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance.
- Never hang the unit by the cord.
- Do not put stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.
COMO USAR
Service, if necessary, must be performed by Applica Consumer Products, Inc. or Authorized Household Appliance Service Center. The Service Center nearest you can be found in the yellow pages of your phone book under "Appliances – Small." If mailing or shipping your unit, pack it carefully in a sturdy carton with enough packing material to prevent damage. Include a note describing the problem to our Service Center and be sure to give your return address. We also suggest that you insure the package for your protection.
ONE-YEAR WARRANTY
Applica Consumer Products, Inc. warrants this product against any defects that are due to faulty material or workmanship for a one-year period after the original date of consumer purchase. This warranty does not include damage to the product resulting from accident or misuse, or repairs performed by non-authorized repair shops. If the product should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair it or elect to replace it free of charge. To honor this warranty, the product with the corresponding registration card is required. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following - PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
■ To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put motor end of the appliance in water or other liquid. ■ This appliance should not be used by children, and care should be taken when used near children.
■ Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
■ Avoid contacting moving parts.
■ Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
■ The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
■ Do not use outdoors.
■ Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
■ Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
■ Blades are sharp; handle carefully.
■ When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or make small quantities at a time to reduce drilling.
- Keep hands and utensils out of the container while blending to prevent the possibility of severe injury to persons or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the unit is not running.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
POLARIZED PLUG (120V MODELS ONLY)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug, and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

Never pull or yank on the cord of the appliance.

To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to tour Service Department or to an authorized service representative.

Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the
APPLIANCE and cause it to fray and break. DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
