How do I play a CD on the Aiwa XP-SR311?

Press the Open button to lift the lid, place the CD on the spindle with the label side up, close the lid, and press Play/Pause.

What types of CDs can I use?

The player supports standard audio CDs, as well as CD-R and CD-RW discs burned in audio format.

How do I prevent skipping while walking?

Enable the Anti-Shock feature by pressing the ESP (Electronic Shock Protection) button. This provides up to 40 seconds of skip protection.

Why won't the CD play?

Check that the CD is inserted correctly with the label up, the lens is clean, and the batteries are charged. If still not working, try a different CD.

How do I clean the CD player?

Wipe the exterior with a dry, soft cloth. To clean the lens, use a CD lens cleaner disc. Do not use liquids or compressed air.

What are the repeat options?

Press the Repeat button repeatedly to cycle through: Repeat One, Repeat All, Repeat Off.

How do I program tracks?

Press Program, then use the skip buttons to select a track and press Program again to add it. Repeat for more tracks, then press Play.

Can I use rechargeable NiMH batteries?

Yes, rechargeable AA NiMH batteries can be used. They will provide slightly less play time than alkaline batteries.

What does the Hold switch do?

When the Hold switch is engaged, all buttons are disabled to prevent accidental presses during transport. Slide it off to use the player.

Where can I find a replacement AC adapter?

Use an AC adapter with DC 4.5V output and a tip positive polarity. For genuine parts, contact Aiwa support or an authorized dealer.

USING ON DRY CELL BATTERIES → A

1 Set the dial to the OPEN position to open the disc compartment, then open the battery compartment.
2Insert two size AA (LR6) alkaline batteries with the + and - marks correctly aligned. After battery insertion, close the battery compartment firmly.
3 Close the disc compartment tightly and set the dial to the LOCK position.
