How do I empty the dust container?

Press the release button on the top of the container, remove it, and open the bottom lid over a bin. Make sure to clean the filter regularly.

How often should I clean the HEPA filter?

Rinse the HEPA filter under running water every 3 months. Allow it to dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling.

The vacuum is not picking up dirt properly. What should I do?

Check if the dust container is full, the filter is clogged, or the hose/brush is blocked. Also ensure the suction setting is high enough.

Can I use the vacuum on delicate surfaces like curtains?

Yes, use the appropriate brush accessory and set the suction power to low to avoid damage.

How do I replace the filter?

Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Open the filter compartment, remove the old filter, insert a new one, and close the compartment.

The cord doesn't rewind fully. What can I do?

Ensure the cord is not tangled or twisted. If the problem persists, contact Swan customer support for service.

What accessories are included with the SC6010N?

It comes with a combination crevice tool, a dusting brush, an upholstery nozzle, and a floor brush.

How do I clean the vacuum's brush roll?

Remove the brush from the floor head, use scissors to cut away tangled hair, and wipe with a damp cloth.

Is the vacuum bagless?

Yes, it is bagless. You empty the transparent dust container directly.

The vacuum smells bad. How to fix it?

Empty the dust container, wash the filter thoroughly, and clean the hose. If odor persists, replace the filter.

Important Safeguards

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

• Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outer when not in use and before servicing.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Do not use hand vacuum if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water. Return it to an authorised service center.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.
  • Do not run appliance over cord.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked, keep free of dust, lint hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, lingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  • Turn off at the switch before unplugging.
  • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present.
• Keep end of hose, wands and other openings away from your face and body.
• Do not use the hand vacuum cleaner without dust cup filter in place.
  • Always unplug this appliance before connecting or disconnecting hand vacuum hose.
• Store the hand vacuum indoors. Put the hand vacuum away after use to prevent tripping accidents.
• Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and possible injury to the user. Correct voltage is listed on the rating label.
  • Use only on dry, indoor surfaces.
• Do not use for any purpose other than described in this user's guide.
  • DO NOT USE EXTERNAL AUTOMATIC TIMERS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS PRODUCT
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarity qualified person in order to avoid hazard.

Fitting or removing the flexible hose

Insert flexible hose into the air intake duct on the top of appliance. Push and turn until it clicks into position.

How to Use

Before using appliance, unwind a sufficient length of cable and insert the plug into the power socket. A yellow mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length. Don't extend the cable beyond the red mark.

1. Press the ON/OFF button to switch the appliance on.

To rewind the power cable, press the rewind button with one hand and guide the cable with the other hand to ensure that it does not whip causing damage

Always remove the plug from the power socket before maintenance/cleaning

Empty debris from the dust compartment subassembly

Always operate the cleaner with the dust compartment subassembly fully installed.

If you forget to attach HEPA and filter or attach its in the wrong manner, the dust compartment subassembly may not clean

After removing the flexible tube, hold handle and press the locking button. Rotate the front-cover compartment subassembly to the correct position.

Take out the inlet HEPA filter compartment directly. Remove the dust cap and empty rubbish Replace the dust compartment subassembly until it is locked

Cleaning and changing HEPA filter

HEPA for air-inlet/air outlet should be cleaned at least twice a year or when it becomes visibly blocked

Always operate the cleaner with air-inlet/air outlet installed otherwise, reduced suction or motor damage may be result.

Disconnect from electrical outlet, before cleaning filter.

Do not use a washing machine to rinse filter.

Do not use hair drier to dry it.

(1) After opening the dust-glass cap subassembly, take out air inlet HEPA

(2) Remove HEPA bracket.

(4) Rinse bracket and HEPA in lukewarm water and dry Filter and HEPA completely.

(HEPA is rinsed by brush.)

(5) Put the HEPA into the bracket or change new HEPA, then put them back.

Changing air outlet HEPA

(1) Open the grille for air-outlet.
(2) When open the grille for air-outlet, the filter for air-outlet is found.

(3) Rinse HEPA in lukewarm water with brush and dry completely.

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
