Important Safeguards
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
- Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outer when not in use and before servicing.
• Do not use outdoor or on wet surfaces. - This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Do not use hand vacuum if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water. Return it to an authorised service center.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.
• Do not run appliance over cord. - Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
- Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked, keep free of dust, lint hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, lingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
- Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Turn off at the switch before unplugging.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. - Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present.
- Keep end of hose, wands and other openings away from your face and body.
- Do not use the hand vacuum cleaner without dust cup filter in place.
• Always unplug this appliance before connecting or disconnecting hand vacuum hose. - Store the hand vacuum indoors. Put the hand vacuum away after use to prevent tripping accidents.
- Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and possible injury to the user. Correct voltage is listed on the rating label.
• Use only on dry, indoor surfaces. - Do not use for any purpose other than described in this user's guide.
• DO NOT USE EXTERNAL AUTOMATIC TIMERS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS PRODUCT - If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarity qualified person in order to avoid hazard.

Fitting or removing the flexible hose
Insert flexible hose into the air intake duct on the top of appliance. Push and turn until it clicks into position.

How to Use
Before using appliance, unwind a sufficient length of cable and insert the plug into the power socket. A yellow mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length. Don't extend the cable beyond the red mark.
- Press the ON/OFF button to switch the appliance on.

To rewind the power cable, press the rewind button with one hand and guide the cable with the other hand to ensure that it does not whip causing damage

Cleaning and Maintenance
Always remove the plug from the power socket before maintenance/cleaning
Empty debris from the dust compartment subassembly
Always operate the cleaner with the dust compartment subassembly fully installed.
If you forget to attach HEPA and filter or attach its in the wrong manner, the dust compartment subassembly may not clean

After removing the flexible tube, hold handle and press the locking button. Rotate the front-cover compartment subassembly to the correct position.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning and changing HEPA filter
HEPA for air-inlet/air outlet should be cleaned at least twice a year or when it becomes visibly blocked
Always operate the cleaner with air-inlet/air outlet installed otherwise, reduced suction or motor damage may be result.
Disconnect from electrical outlet, before cleaning filter.
Do not use a washing machine to rinse filter.
Do not use hair drier to dry it.
(1) After opening the dust-glass cap subassembly, take out air inlet HEPA
(2) Remove HEPA bracket.

Cleaning and Maintenance
(4) Rinse bracket and HEPA in lukewarm water and dry Filter and HEPA completely.
(HEPA is rinsed by brush.)

Changing air outlet HEPA
(1) Open the grille for air-outlet.
(2) When open the grille for air-outlet, the filter for air-outlet is found.

(3) Rinse HEPA in lukewarm water with brush and dry completely.

BS Plug Wiring
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.

The WEEE directive, introduced in August 2006, states that all electrical items must be recycled, rather than taken to landfill. Please arrange to take this appliance to your local Civic Amenity site for recycling, once it has reached the end of its life.
Two Year Warranty
This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of original purchase. If any defect arises due to faulty materials of workmanship the faulty products must be returned to the place of purchase. Refunds or replacement is at the discretion of the store.
