Frequently Asked Questions - McOne Active DEERSYNC

How do I connect speakers to the McOne Active?
Use TRS 1/4" balanced cables to connect up to three stereo pairs to OUTPUTS A, B, and C on the rear panel. The corresponding buttons on the front select which input feeds each output.
Can I use unbalanced sources like an iPod?
Yes, all TRS 1/4" inputs accept balanced or unbalanced signals. Use a TS 1/4" cable for unbalanced sources.
How do I activate the talkback function?
Press the TALKBACK button on the front panel. The built-in microphone near the button will feed the CUE output, and speaker outputs will be dimmed by -17 dB. Adjust talkback gain using the trim pot on the bottom of the unit.
What does the MONO button do?
The MONO button sums the left and right stereo inputs to mono before routing to all speaker outputs and the subwoofer. This is useful for checking mix compatibility.
How do I use the CUE output?
Connect the CUE OUT on the rear to your headphone amplifier system. Use the CUE SELECT buttons (A, B, C) to choose which input feeds the CUE output independently of what is played on the main speakers.
What is the DIM function and how does it work?
The DIM button lowers the output to speaker outputs and subwoofer by -17 dB. It also activates automatically during talkback. Press DIM to toggle the attenuation.
Can I use the headphone output without speakers?
Yes, the headphone output on the rear panel works independently of the speaker outputs. Use the HEADPHONE volume knob on the front to adjust level. It receives the same input signals as the speakers.
What power supply does McOne Active require?
It requires 12-18V DC at 1A via a 2.1mm barrel connector. An auto-sensing universal power supply with a standard IEC 3-prong cable is included.
How do I clean the McOne Active?
Always disconnect the power cable before cleaning. Use only a dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, sprays, or solvents like alcohol or gasoline.
What is the warranty and how do I get service?
Deersync LLC provides a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. For warranty service, contact Yeahtone Technology Inc. at info@yeahtone.com. Repairs should be performed only by qualified technicians.
