Frequently Asked Questions - Persee 2 Orbbec

How do I level the print bed on the Orbbec Persee 2?
The Persee 2 features automatic bed leveling. Navigate to the Leveling menu on the touch screen and follow the on-screen prompts. The printer will probe multiple points and adjust the Z offset automatically.
What filament types can I use with the Persee 2?
The Persee 2 supports common 1.75 mm filaments such as PLA, ABS, PETG, and TPU. Ensure the nozzle temperature is set appropriately for each material.
How do I load filament into the printer?
Preheat the nozzle to the filament's required temperature. Insert the filament into the extruder until it catches, then go to the Load Filament option on the screen. The extruder will feed the filament automatically.
Why is my first layer not sticking to the bed?
First layer adhesion issues can be due to an unlevel bed or incorrect Z offset. Run the Auto Leveling routine again and adjust the Z offset using a piece of paper. Also ensure the bed is clean and free of oils.
How do I clean the nozzle if it gets clogged?
Heat the nozzle to printing temperature, then use the provided nozzle cleaning needle to gently push through the tip. If clogged further, you may need to perform a cold pull with nylon filament.
Can I print with the Persee 2 over Wi-Fi?
Yes, the Persee 2 supports Wi-Fi connectivity. Connect to your local network via the settings menu and use the Orbbec app or software to send print files wirelessly.
What should I do if the print stops due to power loss?
The Persee 2 has power loss recovery. When power is restored, the printer will display a prompt to resume the print from the last saved position. Select Resume to continue.
How often should I lubricate the linear rails?
It's recommended to lubricate the linear rails every 100-200 hours of printing, or when you notice increased friction or noise. Use a light machine oil or PTFE grease.
Where can I find replacement parts for the Persee 2?
Replacement parts such as nozzles, hotend assemblies, and build plates are available through the Orbbec official website or authorized retailers. Check the support section for your model.
How do I update the firmware on the printer?
Download the latest firmware from the Orbbec support page onto a microSD card. Insert the card into the printer and go to Settings > Firmware Update to start the process. Do not turn off the printer during update.
