Quick Start:
1- Unpack all the contents of this box.
2- Insert the (b) Rechargeable battery into the (11) Battery compartment.
3- Connect the (d) USB power cable to the (7) DC5v power port on the back of SonaWAVE.
4- Connect the other end of the (d) USB power cable to the (e) AC power adapter.
5- Insert the (e) AC power adapter into an AC wall outlet.
6- Press the (1) Power button and you will see the (2) Power LED indicator glow blue. The SonaWAVE is now receiving power and also charging the (b) Rechargeable battery.
7- Connect your audio device using the included (c) 3.5mm audio cable or by docking an SD / SDHC memory card or flash drive that is loaded with MP3 fi les.
8- Press the (5) Play / Pause button and the music will begin to play.
Operating Instructions: Power
The SonaWAVE can be powered by the (d) USB power cable, (e) AC power adapter and by its (b) Rechargeable battery.
Rechargeable Battery
Before use, please insert the (b) Rechargeable battery into the (11) Battery compartment. Whenever the SonaWAVE is connected to a power source, the (b) Rechargeable battery will charge. It takes 1-2 hours to reach a full charge by AC or USB. Run-time is 3 hours at medium volume and 1.5 hours at maximum volume.

USB Power Cable
This power option is most useful when using with your laptop or desktop computer. Plug the (d) USB power cable into the (7) DC5v power port. Plug the other end of the (d) USB power cable into a USB port on your computer. Press the (1) Power button and you will see the (2) LED power indicator glow blue. The SonaWAVE is now receiving power and charging its (b) Rechargeable battery.

AC Adapter
This power option is suitable for AC wall outlets. First, connect the large end of the (d) USB power cable to the (e) AC power adapter. Plug the other end of the (d) USB power cable into the (7) DC5v power port. Finally, connect the (e) AC power adapter into any standard AC wall outlet. Press the (1) Power button and you will see the (2) LED power indicator glow blue. The SonaWAVE is now receiving power and charging its (b) Rechargeable battery.

Operating Instructions: Playing Music
The SonaWAVE can play music from 3 different sources - AUX line-in, SD card and USB flash drive
Using AUX line-in
The AUX lin-in port is suitable for using the SonaWAVE to play from your laptop, smartphone, tablet, MP3 player or other music device that has a headphone port. Make sure that SonaWAVE is turned ON and connected to power by way of AC, USB or rechargeable battery. Use the included (c) 3.5mm audio cable to make a

connection between your audio device's headphone port and the (6) AUX-line-in port on the back of the SonaWAVE. Select a playlist or audio file from your device and the music will begin to play.
To adjust volume, press and hold the (3) Next / Volume + or (4) Back / Volume – buttons. Adjust the sound until it is suitable. You can also adjust volume by using the volume controls on your audio device, just as you would when listening to headphones.
Using SD card or USB flash drive playback
The SonaWAVE supports the playback of MP3 files from both SD memory cards and USB flash drives.
MP3 fi les can be transferred from your computer to your SD memory card or USB flash drive via your computer's USB port. Please consult your SD memory card or USB flash drive instruction manual for detailed USB connection information. MP3 files should be dragged to the SD memory card or USB flash drive and dropped into the top-most directory. Please do not put the music fi les into any folders on your card or flash drive because the SonaWAVE will not recognize them. Sort your files in the order that you wish them to play when using the SonaWAVE. They can be navigated in order by using the controls on the SonaWAVE. After verifying that all of your MP3 fi les are organized according to your preference, you can safely remove the card or drive from your computer's USB port.
Insert the SD memory card or USB flash drive into the appropriate port on the back of SonaWAVE.(see fig. 2) Make sure the SonaWAVE is powered ON and press the (5) Play / Pause button. You will hear the music play. To navigate between songs, tap the (3) Next / Volume + or (4) Back / Volume accordingly.
To adjust volume, press and hold the (3) Next / Volume + or (4) Back / Volume - buttons. Adjust the sound until it is suitable.
The (10) Headphones port on the back of the SonaWAVE allows you to access your MP3 fi les while using a pair of headphones. This option is great for enjoying your music privately.

Trouble Shooting:
The SonaWAVE will not turn ON and the LED power indicator is not glowing.
A) Please make sure that SonaWAVE is properly connected to power. If using AC or USB power, please make sure that a proper connection is being made. Also, please make sure that the AC wall out let or USB port you are connected to, has power running to it.
B) If using battery power, please make sure that it has been sufficiently charged. 1-2 hours charging will fully charge the battery.
The music from my SD memory card or USB flash drive is not playing.
A) Please make sure that the files are in MP3 format and that they have not been placed in a folder. Files should be in the top-most directory of your SD memory card or flash drive.
B) Please check your card by connecting it to a computer to make sure that the data has been successfully transferred and formatted.
Trouble Shooting: continued
The volume is too low.
A) Please make sure to adjust volume on your audio device controls as well as on the SonaWAVE. To adjust volume on the SonaWAVE, press and hold the (3) Next / Volume + or (4) Back / Volume - buttons.
B) Please make sure that when using the (6) AUX-line-in port, the cable is properly connected to both your device and to the SonaWAVE.
The sound is distorted.
A) Please make sure that your MP3 file size and quality are to your expectations. Sometimes a small file will distort at high volume. Using high quality MP3 files that are larger in size will provide better sound quality.
B) Please try turning the volume down on your audio device, and then on the SonaWAVE until there is no more distortion.
