Before you start your appliance, and to ensure a correct use, do not use it if:
- It felt on the ground;

- Any anomaly occurs during its operation;
To avoid hazards and deterioration of your appliance by an incorrect use, it is advisable to read the instructions carefully and attentively.
Your appliance must not be used to other ends than the ones foreseen in the instructions manual. Your safety is only guaranteed in a household use and not for commercial use. The incorrect use will not be covered and automatically cancels the right to warranty.

1.1. Power Energy
Check if the voltage of the electric power is compatible with the one mentioned on the appliance. If not, please contact your seller or the Customer Service.
1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables
Unplug your appliance whenever you are not using it.
Do not roll nor pull the cable to unplug the appliance. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
Never use this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, nor if it is not working correctly.
If the power cord is damaged, do not use your appliance, take it to an authorized technical assistance to be replaced.
1.3. Humidity and Water
Do not use your appliance in moist environments. Do not let your appliance subject to get wet in any way, since it may be dangerous. TO AVOID FIRE OR ELECTRIC HAZARD DO NOT EXPOSE THE APPLIANCE TO WATER NOR MOISTURE. Do not put your appliance under water (for example, to wash it).
1.4. Cleaning
- Before cleaning the iron ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has completely cooled down.
- Deposits on the soleplate may be removed with a rough cloth soaked in a vinegar/water solution.
- The casting may be wiped with a damp cloth and then polished with a dry one.
- Do not use abrasives on the soleplate.
- Keep the soleplate smooth. Avoid hard contact with metal objects.
1.5. General Precautions
- Ensure the voltage on the type plate is the same as that in your home.
- The iron should always be turned to off before plugging or unplugging from the wall socket.
- Never yank the cord to disconnect from the wall socket; instead, grads plug and pull to disconnect.
- Never use the appliance if damaged in anyway.
- When leaving, even when only for a short while, always unplug the iron.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.
- Do not leave the iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam.
- Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down - there may be hot water in the reservoir.
- Never immerse the iron in water.
• Always place the iron with its back on a firm flat surface when interrupting ironing and after use. - The cord should not be allowed to touch the sole plate when it is hot.
- Prevent water overflow, do not fill over max level.
- When using the iron for the first time test on an old piece of fabric to ensure the soleplate and water tank are completely clean.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
- When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
- The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. not leave the vacuum cleaner when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning or servicing.
2. UTILIZATION AND FUNCTIONING
2.1. Setting the Temperature

- Stand the iron upright
- Set temperature control to ironing temperature.
- Insert the main plug into the main supply.
- After the indicator light has gone out and come on again, you may start ironing. The indicator light will go out from time to time during ironing.
2.2. Filling With Water
- Ensure the iron is disconnected from the power supply.
- Turn the steam control knob to position "0"
- Fill with water through water filling inlet. (Do not exceed main level mark on the water tank.)
2.3. Steam-Ironing
Set the temperature control to position * for moderate steam and to *** for maximum steam. With conventional steam irons, water may leak from the soleplate if a too low temperature has been selected.
Ensure that there is enough water in the water reservoir.
- Stand the iron on its heel.
- Insert the main plug into the wall socket.
- Wait a little while for the indicator light to go out and come on again.
• See the variable steam knob to adjust the steam.

2.4. Burst of Steam
- By pressing button an intense "Burst" of steam is emitted from the soleplate.
- To prevent water leaking from the soleplate, do not keep the steam control button depressed for more than 5 seconds.
2.5. Vertical Steam
The appliance is capable of generating steam even when in the vertical position. This function is especially useful for refreshing clothes and curtains.
2.6. Spray Setting
- At any temperature by pressing the spray button a couple of times the laundry can be damped down.
- Ensure that there is enough water in the water reservoir.
2.7. Dry Ironing
Turn the variable steam knob to the position "0" (=no steam).
2.8. Self-Cleaning
It is important to apply "self-cleaning" at least every two months to remove impurities etc. The harder the water the more the iron should be self-cleaned.
- Open the filling funnel and fill the water reservoir up to the MAX position, then close the filling funnel.
- Set the temperature control to MAX.
- Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
- Allow the iron to heat up until the temperature pilot light goes out. Then set temperature dial to position MIN.
- Hold the iron horizontally over the sink, then remove the variable steam control knob from the body enabling the iron to self-clean.
- Boiling water and steam will now be ejected from the holes in soleplate. Impurities are washed away with it. Move the iron forwards and backwards while this happens.
- Set the steam control to "0" position when the water reservoir has become empty.
- Repeat self-cleaning if you notice that much impurity or other has been washed out.
- Move the iron over a (preferably) old piece of cloth. This is to ensure that the soleplate will be dry during shortage.
- Unplug and allow the iron to cool down before storing it.
2.9. Storage
- Remove the main plug from the wall socket.
- Pour any remaining water out of the water reservoir.
- Set the steam knob to no steam position.
- Stand the iron upright and let it cool down sufficiently

Do not open the appliance - there is a risk of electric shock.
If you are not able to solve the problem, please contact your seller or manufacturer.
WARNING: any attempt of fixing the appliance without contacting the manufacturer will nullify the warranty.
In case the problem persists, take your appliance to an aftermarket section of any Worten, Modelo or Continente store in order to solve the problem.

The warranty supposes a correct use and maintenance of the appliance, namely according to the instructions expressed in this manual. In case otherwise identified, the malfunctions will not be under the warranty.
The repairing of electrical appliances must only be made by qualified technicians, as otherwise there may occur future complications on the appliances.
To avoid unnecessary dangers, in case there are malfunctions on the cables or other components, repairing must be done by specialized technical assistance, due to the need of appropriate tools.
4. ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION

Aiming to protect the environment, we try to reduce to a maximum the volume of the packages which are confined to three easy separation materials: cardboard, paper and plastic.
The appliance is made of recyclable material, once disassembled by a specialized company. Follow the local legislation concerning recycling of all materials.
