- Never leave the power cable wrapped during use. Unwind it completely.

- Do not place anything except your food on the grill plates during operation. Do not use the appliance without food.

- Never use highly corrosive or abstractive cleaning agents. Never use metal scouring pads for cleaning.

- Do not move the appliance when it is in operation.

- Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.

- If the appliance does get wet, immediately remove the power cord from the wall outlet and contact one of the authorized BENRUBI servic centers.

- In case of a possible damage, do not attempt to repair the appliance by yourself. Please contact one of the authorized BENRUBI service centers. Any repair made by a non-unauthorized BENRUBI Service Center CANCELS THE GUARANTEE.

- Any misuse of the device cancels the warranty.

Before the First Use

NOTE: Smoke and odor may occur during first use.

1. Remove the packaging and any stickers
2. Clean the external surface of the appliance and plates (see section "Care and Cleaning").
3. Place the mains plug into socket.
4. Preheat the sandwich maker for about 10 minutes with the plates opened.
5. Unplug the device from the mains.

This procedure is required for the first use only

Using the Appliance

1. Plug in the appliance.
2. The power indication light (1) and the temperature indication light (2) will turn on.
3. As soon as the appliance warms up, the temperature indication light (2) will turn off.

NOTE: Always keep the plates closed during the warm-up.

1. Once the temperature indication light (2) turns off, open the plates and place the toast on the plates (7). The temperature indication light will flash sequentially during operation.
2. Close the plates.
3. Let the toast bake, depending on the type of bread, the filling and according to your preference.
4. When you have completed the procedure, unplug the appliance.
5. Allow the appliance and plates to cool down completely before cleaning or storing.

- Some products, such as cheese, can melt and stick to the non-stick plates. Use a plastic or wooden spatula to clean the plates of any food debris. Never use metal parts, as they scratch the non-stick surface of the plates.

CAUTION: Never touch the surfaces of the appliance while it is in operation. Use handle to open the cover. Special care is needed when removing hot food from the baking plates.

Care and Cleaning

Cleaning the appliance every time you use it, minimizes smoke and unpleasant smell the next time you cook.

• Before cleaning the appliance, make sure that it is disconnected from the outlet and let the body and the plates to cool down completely.
• NEVER immerse the appliance and the electric cord into water or any other liquid.
• NEVER use chemicals and abrasive detergents, metal brushes or other objects that may scratch the surfaces.
• You can wipe and dry the external surface of your appliance as well as the plates with a damp cloth or kitchen towel.
• To clean over oil or leftovers use firstly paper towel, then wood or plastic spatula.
• Make sure the parts of the device that you clean both are completely dry before reuse or before storage.

Carriage & Storage of the Appliance

- Make sure the appliance has cooled down before storing.

• Store the appliance in vertical position by locking the plates lock clip (4) or om horizc position.
• Store the appliance in a dry place without moisture.
• Never leave the appliance outdoors and exposed to rain.
• To move the appliance, use the original packaging or wrap it in a soft cloth.
• Store the appliance out of the reach of children.
