  • Before connecting the appliance, check if the voltage indicated on the appliance, corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.
    • Always plug your device into an outlet that is earthed. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in electric shock and possible serious injury.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when in operation.
  • Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used near children. Ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, children or those with lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructing concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the supply mains:

- Make sure that the appliance and the plates have cooled down complete before cleaning.

- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.

- In case of a possible damage, do not attempt to repair the appliance by yourself. Please contact one of the authorized BENRUBI service centers.

- Any repair made by an unauthorized BENRUBI Service Center CANCELS THE GUARANTEE.

- Any misuse of the device cancels the warranty.

- Any connection error invalidates the warranty.

- Only use original spare parts.

Before the First Use

  • The appliance can be used for cooking, baking sandwich-toast-bread, etc.
  • Do not use the appliance to cook or defrost frozen foods. All foods must be completely defrosted before cooking.

NOTE: Smoke and odors may occur during first use.

  1. Slide the plates locking clip (4) back.
  2. Clean the appliance and the plates. See the "Care and Cleaning" section.
  3. Plug in.
  4. Preheat the toaster for about 5 minutes with the plates open
  5. Unplug.

This procedure is required for the first use only.

Using the Appliance

  1. Slide the plates locking clip (4) back.
  2. Plug in the appliance. The power indication light (2) will turn on.
  3. Once the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the temperature indication light (3) will turn on.
  4. Open the plates and place the food on the baking plate.

NOTE: During baking, the temperature indication light (3) flashes at intervals to maintain the correct temperature.

  1. Close the plates and let the food cook according to your preference, the type of ingredients and their thickness.

NOTE: The height of the upper plate adjust to the point that you want. This function helps to avoid press foods such as fish, burger buns etc.

  1. Once you have finished cooking, unplug and remove the food from the plates.

  2. Allow to cool down completely before cleaning and storing.

Notes:

  • The grill plates are coated with non-stick coating. Some filings such as cheese my melt and stick on the double non-stick coating. To clean the plates from any food residue, use a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal components, as they may scratch the nonstick surface of the plates.
  • Never touch the surfaces of the device while it is in use. Use the ergonomic handle. Take special care when removing hot food from the baking plates.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning the appliance every time you use it minimizes smoke and unpleasant smell the next time you cook.

  • Before cleaning the appliance, ensure that it is disconnected from the outlet and both the plates the body of your appliance cooled down completely.
