Frequently Asked Questions - Clk 2hp

What power does the 2hp Clk require?
The module requires a +12V and -12V power supply from a standard Eurorack busboard. Typical consumption is 20 mA on +12V and 10 mA on -12V.
How do I connect the Clk to my modular system?
Use a 10-pin ribbon cable to connect the module to your power busboard, ensuring correct polarity (red stripe aligns with -12V). Then patch clock and reset signals using 3.5 mm jack cables.
Can the Clk multiply a clock signal?
Yes, the module can multiply incoming clock signals by factors of x2, x4, or x8, selectable via the mode switch. It also provides divisions from /2 to /32.
What is the reset input for?
The reset input allows you to synchronize the clock divider/multiplier to an external trigger, restarting the sequence at the beginning of a bar or pattern.
How do I choose between division and multiplication modes?
Use the front panel switch to cycle through the available ratios. The LED indicates the current mode. Refer to the manual for the exact switching order.
Is the Clk compatible with all Eurorack cases?
Yes, as a standard 2HP Eurorack module, it fits any case that provides +12V/-12V power and has sufficient physical space (2HP width).
What should I do if the module isn't powering on?
Check the ribbon cable connection and polarity. Ensure your power supply has enough capacity. If the issue persists, consult the manual or contact 2hp support.
Can I use the Clk with non-clock signals?
While designed for clock signals, it can process other triggers or gates as long as they are within the input voltage range (0-5V typical). Performance with audio-rate signals is not guaranteed.
How do I clean the module?
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the front panel and jacks. Avoid using cleaning agents or liquids, as they may damage the components.
Where can I find spare parts or repair service?
For spare parts or repairs, contact 2hp directly through their website or an authorized distributor. Do not attempt to repair the module yourself unless you are qualified.

USER MANUAL Clk 2hp

Description

Clk is a voltage controlled clock generator with all of the features a master clock needs. It has an extremely wide range from ten seconds between pulses well into audio rate. In addition, the pause button and CV input provide an expressive feature that is all too often missing in a modular setup. Stop using LFOs or other modulation sources for your master clock, and let Clk do what it's best at.

• Voltage controlled clock generator
- Wide range from 10 seconds to audio rate
- Pause control with button and gate input
- LED clock indication

General Functions Overview 6

Installation

To install, locate 2 HP of space in your Eurorack case and confirm the positive 12 volts and negative 12 volts sides of the power distribution lines. Plug the connector into the power distribution board of your case, keeping in mind that the red band corresponds to negative 12 volts. In most systems, the negative 12 volt supply line is at the bottom. The power cable should be connected to the Clk with the red band facing the front of the module.
