Frequently Asked Questions - O62C Fantini Cosmi

How do I set the time and date on the O62C?
When batteries are first inserted, the clock/calendar settings appear automatically. Use the wheel selector to choose year, month, day, hour, and minutes, confirming each with OK. For later changes, press MENU, select TIME, and repeat the process.
How do I program a weekly schedule for the thermostat?
Press MENU and select PROG. Choose a day or group of days (e.g., Mo-Fr). Set the time for each COMFORT (heating to set temperature) and ECONOMY (reduced temperature) switchover. You can set up to 4 comfort and 4 economy times per day. Inactive switchovers show --:--.
Can I manually override the programmed temperature?
Yes. In AUTO mode, simply rotate the wheel selector to set a temporary temperature. This override lasts until the next programmed switchover. To cancel the override, press MENU. Alternatively, you can switch to MANU (manual) mode for constant temperature control.
What is the holiday function and how do I use it?
The holiday function lets you set a lower temperature (or even close the valve) for a period of absence. Press MENU, select HOLI, then set the restart date and time, and choose the desired temperature or OFF (valve closed). The thermostat will maintain this setting until the set return moment.
How do I enable the child lock?
Press and hold the OK and JOLLY keys simultaneously for about 2 seconds until the padlock icon appears. The keys and wheel selector are now locked. Repeat the same action to unlock.
How can I reset the thermostat to factory default settings?
Press MENU and select RES. The display shows OK; confirm with OK to reset all programming to factory defaults. To cancel, press MENU.
What do error codes E1, E2, and E3 mean?
E1: Valve adaptation failed (check installation). E2: Valve travel too short (manually open/close valve or replace batteries). E3: Motor blocked (ensure valve pin moves freely). Press any key to clear the error and try a new adaptation cycle.
How do I install the O62C on the radiator valve?
First, tighten the supplied ring nut (B) onto the valve (M30x1.5). Ensure the thermostat is in INST mode (selectable in menu). Then snap the thermostat onto the ring nut until you hear a click. For removal, set to maximum temperature (display shows ON), wait 1 minute, then press the release arrow and pull off.
Can I use rechargeable batteries?
No. The manual explicitly states to use only alkaline batteries (2 x AA 1.5V). Do not use any type of rechargeable battery, as it may damage the device or cause unreliable operation.
Why does the thermostat need a valve adaptation cycle?
The adaptation cycle (accessible via ADAP in menu) calibrates the thermostat to the specific valve's stroke and limit switches. It is essential after first installation, after battery replacement, or when the valve does not open/close fully. If adaptation fails with error E2, check the coupling and repeat.

13 PROGRAMMING VIA KEY 063P

062C can be directly programmed via the programmer 063P, ensuring quick and easy programmable thermostat configuration thanks to the exchange of data via the Mini-USB connector.

Using the key O63P and viewing the graphic interface on the PC, you can easily programme the daily time bands for the COMFORT (Tmax) and ECONOMY (Tmin) temperatures of the programmable thermostat.

Once the temperature profiles of the various rooms have been stored on the key 063P, they can be uploaded onto the programmable thermostat 062C which thus automatically acquires the current time and date.

This means that any pre-setting by the user is super%uous.

For the programming, refer to the instructions enclosed with the programmer 063P.
