Frequently Asked Questions - BWE 101484X WSSS GCC INDESIT

How do I properly load the washing machine?
Distribute laundry evenly inside the drum, mixing large and small items. Do not exceed the 10 kg maximum capacity. Ensure no items are caught in the door seal.
What detergent should I use?
Use high-efficiency (HE) detergent suitable for front-loaders. For best results, follow the manufacturer's dosage instructions and adjust based on water hardness.
How do I clean the filter?
Turn off and unplug the machine. Open the filter cover (usually bottom right), place a container to catch water, unscrew the filter, clean it under running water, and reinstall. Perform every 2-3 months.
What does the 'Drum Clean' program do?
The Drum Clean program removes detergent residue and bacteria. Run it monthly with an empty drum, adding a special cleaner or a cup of white vinegar.
Why is the machine not draining?
Check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Clean the filter. Ensure the standpipe or sink connection is not clogged. If problem persists, contact service.
How do I activate the Child Lock?
Press and hold the Child Lock button (if available) for 3-5 seconds until the lock symbol appears. To deactivate, repeat the same process.
What do error codes mean?
Common codes: F01 (electronics fault), F05 (drain issue), F08 (heating problem). Refer to the manual's error table or reset by unplugging for 1 minute.
Can I wash delicate items like wool?
Yes, use the Wool program, which uses gentle action and lower temperatures. Always check garment labels and use a laundry bag for very delicate items.
How do I reduce noise during spin?
Ensure the machine is level by adjusting the feet. Avoid overloading. If the noise persists, check for loose objects in the drum or foreign items in the filter.
What is the maximum spin speed?
The maximum spin speed is 1400 rpm. You can adjust it for each program; lower speeds are recommended for delicate fabrics to reduce wear.
