Frequently Asked Questions - TL-ANT5830B TP-LINK

What is the TL-ANT5830B used for?
The TP-Link TL-ANT5830B is a high-gain outdoor TV antenna designed to receive UHF broadcast signals (470-862 MHz) for clear digital TV reception.
How do I install the TL-ANT5830B?
Mount the antenna on a pole or wall using the included mounting kit. Point it towards the nearest TV transmitter. Connect an F-type coaxial cable (not included) to the antenna and your TV or set-top box. Ensure the antenna is grounded for safety.
Does the antenna require power?
No, the TL-ANT5830B is a passive antenna and does not need external power. It works directly with your TV’s tuner.
What is the gain of this antenna?
The typical gain is 30 dBi, which provides a very directional and strong signal reception for long-distance TV broadcast.
Can I use this antenna for FM radio?
No, the TL-ANT5830B is designed specifically for UHF TV frequencies (470-862 MHz) and is not suitable for FM radio reception.
What type of cable do I need?
Use a 75-ohm coaxial cable with F-type connectors. For best performance, use a low-loss cable like RG-6.
How do I clean the antenna?
Wipe the antenna with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners, as they may damage the weatherproof coating.
Is the antenna weatherproof?
Yes, the TL-ANT5830B has an IP65 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction.
What is the warranty period?
