PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
After removing the appliance from the package, wash carafe (12), measuring spoon (9) and coffee filter (4) with water and dish soap. When it is used for the first time or after a long idle period, use the machine to make 2-3 espresso, so as to remove any unpleasant tastes.
ESPRESSO
Unscrew cap (1) of the appliance counterclockwise and fill the boiler container with cold water.
The quantity for two or four cups is indicated on carafe (12).

WARNING!
The maximum water quantity is 240 ml.
Screw boiler cap (1) with maximum care by rotating it clockwise.
Position filter (4) in filter holder (6) and fill it with the necessary quantity of coffee. Specia marks on the inside of the filter show the appropriate levels for 2 and 4 cups of coffee (fig.1).
If necessary, remove any excess coffee from the edge of the filter holder.
Verify that the selector knob (2) is in the "OFF" position (machine off) and then plug the appliance into the wall socket.
Insert the filter holder (6) in its seat and rotate it as indicated in figure 2. Place carafe (12) under the filter holder and ensure that the spout of the filter holder is aligned with the hole in the carafe lid.
Turn selector knob (2) to position to switch on the machine. Pilot light (3) lights up.

After some minutes the water will begin to boil and coffee will flow into (12).
Once the coffee level in the carafe has reached the desired quantity, turn selector knob (2) to “STOP” position. Pilot light (3) will go out and the coffee will stop going out. Remove then carafe (12) using handle (11).
Take a pitcher filled with cold water and place it under steam nozzle (8) and turn selector knob (2) to the “RILASCIO” position so as to release the possible residual pressure inside the boiler.

WARNING! The boiler cap can be opened only after the brewing cycle is completed or the selector knob is turned to the “OFF / RILASCIO” position and the residual pressure is released.
CAPPUCCINO
Make the espresso coffee as described before.
Verify the boiler is filled with water.
Fill a container, possibly a metal one, with the necessary quantity of fresh and chilled milk.
Place the container under steam nozzle for cappuccino (8). The spout must be immersed in the milk.
Turn the knob to position. After few seconds the steam will begin to come out of the spout.
When you start frothing the milk, move the container by making it rotate with care so as to increase the amount of frothed milk.
Once you have finished frothing milk, immerse the steam nozzle to heat the milk. If you want to stop the steam release for a moment in order to verify the milk temperature, it is possible to turn the knob to “STOP” position.
Pay attention not to take out the steam nozzle from the milk completely as the hot milk could spurt out.
At the end of the operation, turn selection knob (2) to "STOP" position.
Take then a pitcher filled with cold water and place it under steam nozzle (8) and turn selector knob (2) to “RILASCIO” position so as to release the possible residual pressure inside the boiler.
