Frequently Asked Questions - profiLAM Junior A3 Opus

How do I turn on the laminator?
Switch on the main power switch at the back of the equipment. The front panel POWER button does not need to be pressed after turning on the main switch. If you pressed POWER to standby, press it again to restart and set temperature.
What does the 'HOT' button do?
The HOT button starts lamination at a preset temperature of 100 °C, suitable for 100 micron pouches. You can also manually adjust temperature using the TEMP button.
How do I know when the laminator is ready?
When the READY LED turns green and you hear 3 beeps, the laminator has reached the set temperature and is ready to use.
Which end of the pouch should I insert first?
Always insert the sealed end of the pouch first. Inserting the open end first can cause bubbling, film wrap, or damage to the rollers and document, and may void the warranty.
How do I reverse the rollers if a pouch gets stuck?
Use the anti-block system lever on top of the unit to separate the rollers, then pull out the pouch. You can also press the REV button on the control panel to reverse roller direction.
What is the correct temperature for a 125 micron pouch on A3 paper?
For 125-150 micron pouches on 80 g/m² paper, set the temperature to 120 °C for A3 and 115 °C for A4. Refer to the lamination guide chart in the manual for other combinations.
How do I turn off the laminator?
Press the POWER button on the front panel until the LED screen goes blank. Do not turn off the main switch immediately. The laminator will cool down and automatically power off after 5 beeps when rollers reach below 65 °C.
Why is my laminated document wrinkled or not sealed?
Wrinkling or poor sealing may be due to incorrect temperature. Adjust temperature higher or lower according to the pouch thickness and paper weight. Also ensure the pouch sealed end is inserted first and the document is flat.
Can I laminate custom shapes or thick items?
Yes, but for custom cut pouches or thick items (up to 1 mm), use a carrier envelope to protect the rollers. Remove staples and paper clips before laminating.
What should I do if the laminator makes excessive noise?
Excessive noise indicates gear operation issues. Turn off the equipment immediately and contact your dealer or service team. Do not continue operating.
