Frequently Asked Questions - ACC120 AEG

How do I clean the AEG ACC120 steamer?

To clean the steamer, remove the steaming bowls and lid and wash them in warm soapy water or the dishwasher. Use a descaling solution for the water tank every 3-4 weeks to remove mineral deposits.

Can I steam different foods at the same time?

Yes, you can stack multiple tiers. Place foods that take longer to cook (e.g., root vegetables) at the bottom, and delicate foods (e.g., fish) on top. Adjust cooking times accordingly.

What is the maximum water level?

Do not fill above the MAX mark on the water tank, which is approximately 1 liter. Overfilling may cause water to spill out during operation.

How do I set the timer?

Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time (up to 60 minutes). The steamer will automatically shut off when the timer reaches zero. You can also manually turn the knob to 0 to stop.

Why is my steamer not heating up?

Check that the steamer is properly plugged in and the power outlet is working. Ensure the water tank is filled to at least the MIN level. The appliance will not heat if there is insufficient water.

Can I use the steamer without water?

No, the steamer requires water to produce steam. Running it dry can damage the heating element and void the warranty. The boil-dry protection will automatically shut off the appliance if water runs out.

Is the steamer safe to leave unattended?

While the steamer has automatic shut-off and safety features, it is recommended to stay nearby while it is in use. Do not leave children unattended with the appliance.

How long does it take to boil water?

The steamer typically begins producing steam within 1-2 minutes after turning on, depending on the water temperature and volume.

What does the keep warm function do?

After steaming, the keep warm function maintains the food at a serving temperature (around 70°C) for up to 30 minutes. Activate it by pressing the keep warm button.

Where can I find replacement parts or accessories?

Contact AEG customer service or visit the official website for genuine replacement parts such as steaming bowls, lids, and measuring cups. Use only approved accessories to ensure safety.
