HOW TO USE
Preparing the Carpet
- Vacuum the carpet or upholstered furniture which is to be cleaned thoroughly with a vacuum cleaner. If possible, use a brush attachment to do this.
-
If possible, remove all furniture from the carpet. In the case of large items of furniture which cannot be moved to one side, place plastic film below or around the feet and only remove it once the carpet has completely dried after it has been cleaned. The feet could be damaged by the moisture from the carpet.
-
Check the colourfastness of the carpet or upholstered furniture. Soak a piece of white fabric with the cleaning solution supplied (see the "Preparing the Device / Filling the Fresh Water Container" section) and rub it carefully on an inconspicuous spot on the carpet. If the white fabric does not become discoloured, the carpet or upholstered furniture can be cleaned with the device. In the case of carpets or upholstered furniture with several colours, test the fastness of each colour.
Preparing the Device / Filling the Fresh Water Container
CAUTION: Only ever pour the cleaning agent supplied with the device or standard carpet cleaning products for carpet cleaners into the fresh water container. Do not use any cleaning products that produce a lot of foam as excessive foaming impedes the functioning of the device.

- Hold the handle of the clean water tank and press "Clean Water Tank Release". Tilt the clean water tank away from the carpet washer and remove.

- Unscrew the measuring cap from the under side of the clean water tank (don't try to remove the orange part. That is a handle, not a lid). Add the water first, then the cleaning solution. 50ml of solution to 500ml of water (10:1). Give the tank a slight shake to mix the water and solution before refitting the tank.
Do not exceed the MAX level on the tank.

HOW TO USE
- Don't use water above 40 degrees Centigrade. Replace cap.

- Place bottom of clean water tank into carpet washer and push back until it locks into place.

Usage
Plug cord into electrical outlet. Turn on the machine by using on/off switch located on the side of the machine.
- Step onto the handle release pedal to put the machine into cleaning position (fig 6/1). While depressing the solution spray trigger, pull carpet washer in a backward motion. Release the trigger and push the unit forward in the same path to agitate and remove the dirty water and solution from the carpet. Repeat on more heavily soiled areas if necessary.

IMPORTANT: for best results use a slow, steady forward and backward motion. Always work from back to front across the room to avoid stepping on wet carpet.
- When dirty water tank is full, lift the latch and remove from base unit using the handle.

- Twist dirty water tank outlet cap to the left and remove, empty, rinse and replace.

HOW TO USE
- When finished cleaning, remove the dirty water tank and rinse with warm water and allow it to dry before storage. Also remove filter (as shown) rinse with warm water and allow it to dry before storing.

IMPORTANT: Do not use any chemicals when cleaning.
NOTE: Do not store cleaner with solution in clean water tank or dirty water in dirty water tank. Mineral deposits and mildew can form and will affect the performance of the carpet washer.
