How to clean the air filter?
Open the inlet grille by pulling it upward. Remove the filter by pushing up its center tab slightly. Clean with a vacuum or wash with water (do not use hot water above 40 °C). Dry completely in shade before reattaching. Ensure FRONT indication faces forward and the filter is fully secured behind the stopper.
How to set the TIMER ON/OFF?
Press the TIMER button to cycle through TIMER modes (ON or OFF). The display will flash. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to set time (0.5-hour increments up to 12 hours, then 1-hour increments up to 24 hours). Press CONFIRM/CANCEL to confirm. To cancel, press CONFIRM/CANCEL again. Note: The timer can be combined with SLEEP but setting timer will cancel sleep function.
What does the SLEEP function do?
In COOL/DRY mode, SLEEP increases the set temperature by 1 °C after 1 hour and another 1 °C after 2 hours, then runs for 6 more hours before stopping. In HEAT mode, it decreases temperature by 2 °C after 1 hour, another 2 °C after 2 hours, then increases by 1 °C after 5 hours, running a total of 8 hours. In AUTO mode, it adapts to the selected mode. FAN mode does not support SLEEP.
Why does the air conditioner not start immediately?
The unit has a 3-minute restart delay to protect the compressor. After turning off and on, or after a power failure, the compressor will wait 3 minutes before starting. This is normal and helps prevent damage. If the remote control is defective, use the emergency operation button on the indoor unit.
How to use TURBO and QUIET modes?
Press the TURBO/QUIET button on the remote control. One press activates TURBO (rapid cooling/heating, shown as ↗). Press again to switch to QUIET (reduced noise, shown as →). Press a third time to turn off both. TURBO may cause uneven temperature distribution. In TURBO mode, pressing the button for 3 seconds toggles the indoor unit LED display on/off.
The remote control is not working. What should I do?
First, check the batteries: replace with AAA batteries observing correct polarity. Ensure no obstructions between remote and indoor unit (max 7 m). Try pressing the RESET button after removing batteries. If the display is weak, batteries may be low. For extended non-use, remove batteries. If the remote is lost or defective, use the Emergency Operation switch on the indoor unit (press once for auto mode).
How to adjust the air flow direction?
Use the SWING UP/DOWN button on the remote control to adjust vertical louvers. Press once for auto swing (↗ display), press again to fix the position. For horizontal adjustment, manually move the louvers (turn unit off first). Avoid keeping the horizontal flap downward in COOL/DRY mode for long to prevent condensation.
What maintenance is required?
Clean the air filter every 15 days (more often if dusty). Use a vacuum or wash with water, dry completely. Wipe the indoor unit body with a soft, dry cloth; for stubborn stains, use a neutral detergent diluted in water (wring well). Do not use gasoline, thinners, or hot water above 40 °C. Clean the outdoor unit coils annually (by a professional). Optional air purifying filters should be checked every 6 months (photocatalyst) or cleaned with vacuum (bacteria-killing).
What does the ECO function do?
The ECO function is an energy-saving mode that works in cooling only. When activated, the remote control displays 'ECO' and the unit adjusts operation to reduce power consumption. It is different from the SLEEP function; ECO is for general energy efficiency.
What should I do if water leaks from the indoor unit?
Check that the drain hose is properly installed with a downward slope and not kinked. Ensure the drain hose is not immersed in water or clogged. If the problem persists, contact professional service. Also, in high humidity, condensation may occur at the air outlet if all louvers are adjusted to the right; adjust louvers to a central position.

When FAN is set to AUTO, the air conditioner automatically adjusts the fan speed according to room temperature.

Press AUTO then enter auto mode.

Energy saving function, it works under cooling only mode, after enter ECO function, the logo of "ECO" will display on the remote screen.

When the MY TEMP function is activated, the remote control will sense and display the temperature around it in order to achieve the desired temperature.

The distance between the remote control and the indoor unit should be 7 m maximum, without obstacles.

Pos. 2: No initial state displayed on remote control. The vertical louvers will be fixed on the current position.

CAUTIONS:

  • Before adjusting the louvers manually, turn off the unit.
  • When humidity is high, condensate water might occur at air outlet if all vertical louvers are adjusted to the right.
  • It is advisable not to keep horizontal flap at downward position for a long time in COOL or DRY mode, otherwise, condensate water might occur.
  • When restarting after turning the unit OFF with the remote control, the remote will automatically return to the previous set swing position.

SLEEP function

Press the SLEEP button, the remote control will show 📄, and then achieve to the sleep function. Press again the SLEEP pad, the sleep function will be cancelled.

Operation mode

1. In COOL or DRY mode

1 hour after SLEEP mode starts, the temperature will become 1 °C higher than temperature setting. After another hour, the temperature will rise another 1 °C. The unit will run for further 6 hours then stops. Temperature is higher than temperature setting so that room temperature won't be too low for your sleep.

In COOL and DRY modes

2. In HEAT mode (only on some models)

1 hour after SLEEP mode starts, temperature will become 2 °C lower than temperature setting. After another 1 hour, the temperature decreases by 2 °C further. After another 3 hours, temperature rises by 1 °C further. The unit will run for another 3 hours then stops. Temperature is lower than temperature setting so that room temperature won't be too high for your sleep.

In HEAT mode

3. In AUTO mode

The unit operates in corresponding sleep mode adapted to the automatically selected operation mode.

4. In FAN mode

The SLEEP function will not be available under the FAN mode.

  1. When quiet sleeping function is set to 8 hours the quiet sleeping time can not be adjusted. When TIMER function is set, the quiet sleeping function can't be set up. After the sleeping function is set up, if user resets TIMER function, the sleeping function will be cancelled; the machine will be in the state of timing-on, if the two modes are set up at the same time, either of their operation time is ended first, the unit will stop automatically, and the other mode will be cancelled.

Note:

  • When TIMER function is set, the sleeping function can't be set up. After the sleeping function is set up, if user resets TIMER function, the sleeping function will be cancelled; the machine will be in the state of timing-on.
  • Power failure resume: Press the sleep pad ten times within five seconds and enter function after hearing four sounds. And press the sleep pad ten times within five seconds and leave this function after hearing two sounds.
  • Power failure resume function: If the unit is started for the first time, the compressor will not start running unless 3 minutes have elapsed. When the power resumes after power failure, the unit will run automatically, and 3 minutes later the compressor starts running.

timer operation

  1. After unit starts, select the desired operation mode.
  2. Press the TIMER button to change TIMER mode. When pressing TIMER button, the display will show "ON 0.5". After 10 seconds the time display will be blank.
    When pressing TIMER button, the display will show "OFF 0.5". After 10 seconds the time display will be blank. Then select the desired TIMER mode, "ON" or "OFF" will flash.

  3. Press TIMER button to set time.

Each time you press the button, the time setting will be increased by 0.5 hours until reaching 12 hours, then each press will increase the time by 1 hour until reaching 24 hours.

  1. Confirm TIMER setting. After setting the desired time press the CONFIRM/CANCEL button to CONFIRM your selection "ON" or "OFF" will stop flashing.

To cancel the TIMER

Press the CONFIRM/CANCEL button again. The set TIME will be deleted.

After replacing batteries or a power failure, the time should be reset.

According to the time setting sequence of TIMER ON or TIMER OFF, either Start-Stop or Stop-Start can be achieved.

TURBO/QUIET operation

When you need rapid heating or cooling, you can use this function.

Press the TURBO/QUIET pad, the remote control will show ↗, and then the unit starts the TURBO function.

Press the TURBO/QUIET pad, the remote control will show →, and then the unit starts the QUIET function.

To turn off TURBO, press again the TURBO pad.

Note: During TURBO operation, in rapid cool mode, the room could show uneven temperature distribution.

Indoor Unit LED Display

Press the TURBO/QUIET pad for 3 seconds to turn the indoor unit led display on or off.

  • Use this operation only when the remote control is defective or lost, and with function of Emergency running air conditioner can run automatically for a while.
  • When the emergency operation switch is pressed, a "Pi" sound is heard once, which means the start of this operation.

Pi

  • When POWER switch is turned on for the first time and emergency operation starts, the unit will run automatically in the following mode:
  • It is not possible to change the temperature setting or fan speed setting. It is also not possible to operate the timer or the DRY mode.

  • Test operation switch is the same as emergency switch.
  • Use this switch in the test operation when the room temperature is below 16^ , do not use it in the normal operation.
  • Continue to press the test operation switch for more than 5 seconds. After you hear two "Beeps", release your finger from the switch: the cooling operation starts with the air flow speed at "Hi".

installing the batteries

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Insert 2 "AAA" batteries as illustrated noting battery polarity.
  3. Reinstall the battery cover.

Notes:

  • The distance from the remote control to the receiver should be less than 7 meters with no obstructions.
  • If the remote control display is weak or the operating distance has diminished, the batteries may need to be replaced.
  • Remote control malfunctions can sometimes be corrected by removing the batteries from the remote for a few minutes and then reinstalling them.
  • Remove the batteries from the remote control if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
  • If any segments of the display remain active after battery removal, press the reset button.

  2. Attach the filter. Attach the filter correctly so that the "FRONT" indication is facing to the front. Make sure that the filter is completely fixed behind the stopper. If the right and left filters are not attached correctly, that may cause defects.

  1. Open the inlet grille. Prop up the inlet grille by using a small device named grille-support which is located in the right side of the indoor unit.

ATTENTION: The white side of the photocatalyst air purifying filter faces outside, and the black side faces the unit. The green side of the bacteria-killing medium air and the white side faces the unit.

  • The photocatalyst air purifying filter will be solarized in fixed time. In normal family, it will be solarized every 6 months.
  • The bacteria-killing medium air purifying filter will be used for a long time, no need for replacement. But in the period of using them, you should remove the dust frequently using a vacuum cleaner or flapping them lightly, otherwise its performance will be affected.
  • Please keep the bacteria-killing medium air purifying filter under cool and dry conditions and avoid long time directly sunshine when you stop using it, or its ability of sterilization will be reduced.

  • Before inserting the power plug into the receptacle, check the voltage without fail. The power source must be the same as the corresponding name plate.
    • Install an exclusive branch circuit for the power.
  • A receptacle must be set up in a distance where the power cable can be reached. Do not extend the cable by cutting it.

Important: The appliance must be installed in accordance with the national regulations for electrical installations.

When the mounting plate is first fixed

  1. Carry out based on the neighboring pillars or lintels, a proper leveling for the plate to be fixed against the wall, then temporarily fasten the plate with one steel nail.

  2. Check again the proper level of the plate by hanging a thread with a weight from the central top of the plate, then fasten securely the plate with the attachment steel nail.

  3. Find the wall hole location "A" using a measuring tape.

When the mounting plate is fixed side bar and lintel

  1. Fix to side bar and lintel a mounting bar, which is separately sold, and then fasten the plate to the fixed mounting bar.

  2. Refer to the previous section, "When the mounting plate is first fixed" for the position of wall hole.

  3. Make a hole on the wall and fit the piping hole cover.

  4. Make a hole of 60 mm in diameter, slightly descending to outside the wall.
    • Install piping hole cover and seal it off with putty after installation.

  1. Routing the pipes

Rear piping

- Draw pipes and the drain hose, then fasten them with the adhesive tape.

Left-Left-rear piping

  • In case of left side piping, cutaway with a nipper the lid for left piping.
  • In case of left-rear piping, bend the pipes according to the piping direction to the mark of hole for left-rear piping which is marked on heat insulation materials.

  • Insert the drain hose into the dent of heat insulation materials of indoor unit.

  • Insert the indoor/outdoor electric cable from backside of indoor unit, and pull it out on the front side, then connect them.
  • Coat the flaring seal face with refrigerant oil and connect pipes. Cover the connection part with heat insulation materials closely, and make sure fixing with adhesive tape.

- Indoor/outdoor electric cable and drain hose must be bound with refrigerant piping by protecting tape.

Other direction piping

- Cut with a nipper, the lid for piping according to the piping direction and then bend the pipe according to the position of wall hole. When bending, be careful not to crash pipes.

- Connect beforehand the indoor/outdoor electric cable, and then pull out the connected to the heat insulation of connecting part specially.

- Hang surely the unit body onto the upper notches of the mounting plate. Move the body from side to side to verify its secure fixing.

- In order to fix the body onto the mounting plate, hold up the body aslant from the underside and then put it down perpendicularly.

- When you unload the indoor unit, please use your hand to arise the body to leave agraffe, then lift the bottom of the body outward slightly and lift the unit aslant until it leaves the mounting plate.

  1. Remove terminal cover at right bottom corner of indoor unit, then take off wiring cover by removing its screws.
  2. Insert from outside the room cable into left side of the wall hole, in which the pipe has already existed.
  3. Pull out the cable on the front side, and connect the cable making a loop.
  4. Insert the cable from the back side of the unit, then pull it out on the front side.
  5. Loosen the screws and insert the cable ends fully into terminal block, then tighten the screws.
  6. Pull the cable slightly to make sure the cables have been properly inserted and tightened.
  7. After the cable connection, never fail to fasten the connected cable with the wiring cover.

Be careful that matters, such as wastes of sands, etc. shall not enter the pipe.

The standard pipe length is 5 m, if it is over 7 m, the function of the unit will be affected. If the pipe has to be lengthened, the refrigerant should be charged according to 20 g/m. But the charge of refrigerant must be conducted by professional air conditioner engineer. Before adding additional refrigerant, perform air purging from the refrigerant pipes and indoor unit using a vacuum pump, then charge additional refrigerant.

  • Use the same method on indoor unit. Loosen the screws on terminal block and insert the plugs fully into terminal block, then tighten the screws.
  • Insert the cable according to terminal number in the same manner as the indoor unit.
  • If wiring is not correct, proper operation can not be carried out and controller may be damaged.
    • Fix the cable with a clamp.

using a vacuum cleaner as purging method

  1. Detach the service port's cap of 3-way valve, the valve rod's cap for 2-way valve and 3-way's, connect the service port into the projection of charge hose (low) for gauge manifold. Then connect the projection of charge hose (center) for gauge manifold into vacuum pump.
  2. Open the handle at low in gauge manifold, operate vacuum pump. If the scale moves of gauge (low) reach vacuum condition in a moment, check 1 again.
  3. Vacuum for over 15 minutes and check the level gauge which should read -0,1 MPa (76 cm Hg) at low pressure side. After the completion of vacuum, close the handle "LO" in gauge manifold and stop the operation of the vacuum pump. Check condition of the scale and hold it for 1-2 min. If the scale moves back in spite of tightening, make flaring work again, the return to the beginning of 3.
  4. Open the valve rod for the 2-way valve to an angle of anticlockwise 90 degrees. After 6 seconds, close the 2-way valve and make the inspection of gas leakage.
  5. No gas leakage?
    In case-of gas leakage, tighten parts of pipe. If leakage stops, then proceed to step 6.
    If it does not stop, discharge whole refrigerants from the service port. After flaring work again and vacuum, fill up prescribed refrigerant from the gas cylinder.
  6. Detach the charge hose from the service port, open 2-way valve and 3-way. Turn the valve rod anticlockwise until hitting lightly.

  7. To prevent gas leakage, turn the service port's cap. The valve rod's cap for 2-way valve and 3 way's a little more than the point where the torque increases suddenly.

  8. After attaching each cap, check for gas leakage around the caps.

CAUTION

  • If the refrigerant of the air conditioner leaks, it is necessary to discharge all the refrigerant. Vacuum first, then charge the liquid refrigerant into air conditioner according to the amount marked on the name plate.
  • Please do not let other cooling medium except the specified one (R410A) or air enter into the cooling circulation system. Otherwise there will be abnormal high pressure in the system to make it crack and lead to personal injuries.
