How do I attach the Dream Closer 2-in-1 to my adult bed?

Use the provided attachment system to secure the bassinet to the adult bed frame. Ensure the adult bed mattress height is between 18 and 24.4 inches (45.7–62 cm) from the floor. The gap between the bassinet and adult bed must be no more than 1/2 inch (13 mm). Pull the bassinet away after attaching to check tightness before each use.

When should I stop using this product?

Stop using when your baby reaches 15 lb (6.8 kg) OR begins to push up on hands and knees, roll over, or pull up on the sides (around 5 months). Move to a crib or other sleeping product.

Can I use an extra mattress or add padding?

No. Use only the mattress provided by the manufacturer. NEVER add pillows, comforters, or extra padding to avoid suffocation risk. Use only the fitted sheet designed for this mattress.

How do I clean the bassinet fabric?

Remove the fabric from the frame and fasten the zipper. Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle with no bleach. Air dry flat. Do not tumble dry.

Can I use this product as a standalone bassinet?

Yes. It can be used as a standalone bassinet without attaching to the adult bed. In this mode, ensure the drop side rail is fully raised and locked, and the bassinet is securely locked onto the base/stand.

Is it safe to move the product with my baby inside?

No. Never move the product with a child inside. Always lift and move the bassinet when empty to avoid falls or injury.

What should I do if a part is missing or damaged?

Can I use this bed with a water mattress?

No. Do not use a water mattress with this product. It is not compatible.

How should I store the Dream Closer when not in use?

Disassemble and store the bassinet in a dry place. Keep away from direct heat sources and open flames. Refer to the storage section of the manual for specific folding instructions.

Are crib bumpers or toys safe to use with this bassinet?

No. Never add any items such as bumpers, pillows, or toys that could pose a suffocation or entanglement risk. Keep the sleep surface bare.

WARNING

Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in death or serious injury. Assemble product according to the instructions for ANY use mode (bedside sleeper and bassinet).

SUFFOCATION HAZARD Babies have suffocated:

• on pillows, comforters, and extra padding
- in gaps between wrong-size mattress, or extra padding and product sides
- NEVER add soft bedding or padding
- Use ONLY mattress provided by the manufacturer

• Always place baby on back to sleep to reduce the risk of SIDS and suffocation

- To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their back to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician.

FALL HAZARD: To help prevent falls, do NOT use the product when infant:

• begins to push up on hands and knees OR
• begins to roll over OR
• begins to pull up on product sides (approximately 5 months) OR
  • has reached 15 lb, whichever comes first
• Move your child to another sleeping product when your child reaches this stage.

ENTRAPMENT HAZARD: To prevent death from entrapment, bedside sleeper must be properly secured to adult bed using the attachment system.

• There must be no more than 12 in. (13 mm) gap between the bedside sleeper and adult bed.

- Check tightness before each use by pulling bedside sleeper in a direction away from adult bed.

- If gap exceeds 12 in. (13 mm), DO NOT use product. Do not fill the gap with pillows, blankets or other items that are suffocation hazards.

- To avoid death from the infant's neck being caught on the top rail on the side that is next to the adult bed, the top rail must be no higher than the adult bed mattress.

- If wheels are retracted for bedside sleeper mode, ensure wheels are locked back into position when pulled away from the bed.

- This bedside sleeper is designed for use only with adult beds that are between 18 and 24.4 in. (45.7 and 62 cm) from floor to top of adult mattress.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children have STRANGLED when straps become wrapped around their neck.

- ALWAYS unclip and keep straps away from children when using in bassinet mode to avoid loose hanging straps.

- Strings can cause strangulation! Never place items with a string around child's neck such as hood strings or pacifier cords.

- Never suspend strings over product or attach strings to toys.

- Never place near a window or door where cords from blinds or drapes can strangle a child.

• Always completely raise the drop side when not attached to the adult bed.

• Always check that the bassinet is securely locked on the base/stand by pulling upwards on the bassinet bed.

- If a sheet is used with the mattress, only use one specifically designed to fit this mattress. Do not use a sheet designed to fit a full-size crib.

- Prevent possible strangulation or entanglement. Never use bassinet sheet unless it fits securely on bassinet mattress.

- NEVER use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers not sold and intended for that purpose. They can cause suffocation.

- Child can become entrapped and die when improvised netting or covers are placed on top of product. Never add such items to confine child in product.

• Always ensure that the product is properly and completely assembled prior to use.

- Drop side rail must be installed and secured prior to use. Failure to install may result in child falling out of product.

- Product shall not be used without the mattress provided.

• DO NOT use a water mattress with this product.

- Do not move product with child inside.

- CHOKING HAZARD: Keep medication and small items that could choke a child away from the product.

• Always place on a horizontal floor.

- Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc. in the near vicinity of the product.

- Young children should not be allowed to play unsupervised in the vicinity of this product.

- For indoor use only.

Care and Cleaning

• Bassinet Fabric – Remove from frame. Fasten zipper. Machine wash with cold water, gentle cycle. No bleach. Air dry flat. Spot clean with a soft, clean cloth and mild soap.
• Mattress – Remove from Bassinet Fabrics. Remove structural boards. Spot clean with a soft, clean cloth and mild soap.
• Mattress Sheet – Machine wash in cold water. Air dry flat.
