How do I pair my Monster MT-ABS01 speakers via Bluetooth?

Turn on the speakers. The LED will flash blue, indicating pairing mode. On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices and select MT-ABS01. Once connected, the LED will glow solid blue.

What should I do if there is no sound from the right speaker?

Ensure that the supplied speaker cable is securely connected between the SPEAKER OUT (R) on the left speaker and the SPEAKER IN on the right speaker. Check the polarity (+/-) matches.

How do I switch between input modes (Bluetooth, AUX, LINE IN, PC)?

Press the MODE/VOLUME KNOB repeatedly. The LED color indicates the active mode: Blue = Bluetooth, Yellow = AUX, Green = LINE IN, Purple = PC Input.

Can I use the speakers without Bluetooth?

Yes. Use the supplied 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect an audio device to the AUX IN or LINE IN ports. Alternatively, connect the USB cable to a PC for PC INPUT mode.

Why is the LED light flashing but not staying solid?

Flashing blue means the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode. If you already connected, ensure your device is within range and not connected to another speaker. Try resetting the connection by pressing and holding the MODE/VOLUME KNOB.

How do I adjust the volume?

Turn the MODE/VOLUME KNOB clockwise to increase volume, counter‑clockwise to decrease. You can also control volume from your connected device (phone, PC, etc.).

Do the speakers require an AC power source?

Yes. Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the DC IN port on the left speaker and plug it into a wall outlet (100‑240V). The speakers do not have a built‑in battery.

What is the maximum power output of the speakers?

How can I connect the speakers to a TV or other device without Bluetooth?

Use the supplied 3.5mm to RCA cable: connect the 3.5mm end to your TV's headphone/audio output and the RCA ends to the AUX IN or LINE IN ports on the speaker. Select the corresponding input mode using the MODE knob.

What should I do if I hear distorted sound?

Check the volume level on both the speaker and the source device. Reduce the source volume to avoid clipping. Ensure the speaker cable connections are secure and not touching each other. If using Bluetooth, move the source closer.

1. SPEAKER OUT (R) - connect the supplied speaker cable to the - and + ports on the other speaker to play music from both speakers.
2. LED status indicator - lights up corresponding to the currently selected input mode:

6. Green - LINE IN mode
7. Purple - PC Input mode
8. MODE/VOLUME KNOB - press to change the input source mode. Press and hold to disconnect Bluetooth connection. Adjust the knob to increase/decrease volume level.
9. USB INPUT - connect the supplied USB cable to the USB port and the other end to your PC/laptop's USB port for PC/laptop music playback.
10. AUX IN - connect the supplied 3.5mm to RCA audio cable to an external device for music playback.
11. DC IN - plug in the supplied AC adaptor.
12. POWER/ON/OFF SWITCH - flick the switch to turn the speaker on/off.
13. LINE IN - connect the supplied 3.5mm to RCA audio cable to an external device for music playback.
14. LINE OUT - connect an RCA audio cable (not included) to an external amplifier or audio system for music playback.
15. SPEAKER IN - connect the other end of the speaker cables to the - and + inputs to play music from both speakers.

Operation

Powering the Bookshelf Speakers

• Connect the left and right speakers with the supplied speaker cable.
• Connect the AC adaptor to the DC IN port on the left speaker.
• Connect the other end of the AC adaptor to an external power supply.
• Flick the POWER/ON/OFF switch to turn the speaker on. The LED status indicator will flash blue, indicating it is ready to pair with a Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth® Mode

• On your smart phone, select MT-ABS01 from the list of available devices.
• Once Bluetooth connection is successful, the LED status indicator will stop flashing and light up solid blue.
• You can now use your smart phone to play audio to the speakers.
• Use the MODE/VOLUME KNOB to adjust volume level, or you can control volume directly from your smart phone.

AUX-IN Mode

• Connect the supplied 3.5mm to RCA audio cable to the AUX IN port on the left speaker and the other end to an external audio device.
• Press the MODE/VOLUME KNOB repeatedly until the LED status indicator lights up yellow, indicating it is in AUX mode.
• You can now use your external audio device to play audio to the radio.
• Use the MODE/VOLUME KNOB to adjust volume level, or you can control volume directly from your external audio device.

LINE IN Mode

• Connect the supplied 3.5mm to RCA audio cable to the LINE IN ports on the left speaker and the other end to an external audio device.
• Press the MODE/VOLUME KNOB repeatedly until the LED status indicator lights up green, indicating it is in LINE IN mode.
• You can now use your external audio device to play audio to the speakers.
• Use the MODE/VOLUME KNOB to adjust volume level, or you can control volume directly from your external audio device.

PC INPUT Mode

• Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB INPUT on the left speaker and the other end to your PC/laptop's USB port.
• Press the MODE/VOLUME KNOB repeatedly until the LED status indicator lights up purple, indicating it is in PC INPUT mode.
• You can now use your PC/laptop to play audio to the speakers.
• Use the MODE/VOLUME KNOB to adjust volume level, or you can control volume directly from your PC/laptop.
