Frequently Asked Questions - MR-200 Fortis

How do I assemble the Fortis MR-200 rowing machine?
Assembly is straightforward. Start by attaching the main frame to the front stabilizer, then install the seat rail, seat, and rowing arm. Detailed step-by-step instructions are provided in the user manual with diagrams. Use the included tools; no special equipment is required.
How do I adjust the resistance on the MR-200?
The MR-200 uses a magnetic resistance system with 8 levels. Turn the adjustment knob located on the front of the frame to increase or decrease resistance. Level 1 is the lightest, level 8 the heaviest. The display will show the current level.
What metrics does the LCD display show?
The LCD display shows time, distance, calories burned, stroke count (total and per minute), and pulse rate (if using the optional pulse sensors). It cycles through metrics automatically or you can press the mode button to switch manually.
How do I clean and maintain my rowing machine?
Wipe the frame, seat, and handle with a soft damp cloth after each use. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Lubricate the slide rail with a silicone-based lubricant every 3 months or if squeaking occurs. Check all bolts and tighten if needed.
What is the maximum user weight for the MR-200?
The maximum user weight is 120 kg (265 lbs). Exceeding this limit may damage the frame and void the warranty.
Can the rowing machine be folded for storage?
Yes, the MR-200 features a folding mechanism. Unlock the latch under the seat rail, fold the rail upward, and secure it with the locking pin. The machine also has transport wheels for easy moving.
Is the rowing machine noisy during use?
The magnetic resistance system provides quiet operation. The main noise comes from the sliding seat and chain mechanism, which is minimal. Regular lubrication helps keep noise low.
What is the warranty period for the Fortis MR-200?
Fortis offers a 2-year limited warranty on the MR-200 covering manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover wear and tear items like seat, pedals, or batteries. Keep your purchase receipt for claims.
Does the rowing machine have Bluetooth or app compatibility?
No, the MR-200 does not have Bluetooth connectivity. It is a standalone machine with a standard LCD display. However, you can use separate heart rate monitors or fitness trackers.
Where can I find spare parts for the MR-200?
Spare parts such as seat, handle, pedals, and resistance assembly are available through Fortis customer service or authorized dealers. Contact Fortis support or visit their website to order. Refer to the user manual for part numbers.
