Start

- The chest freezer should be left unplugged for half an hour before connecting it to the 220-240 V/50 Hz power source when it is started for the first time.
The chest freezer should run 2 to 3 hours before loading fresh or frozen foods; the chest freezer should run for 4 hours in the summer, considering that the room temperature will be higher.
Energy saving tips
- The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances or heating ducts, and away from direct sunlight.
- Let hot foods cool down to room temperature before placing them in the appliance. Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run longer. Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality or spoil.
- Be sure to wrap the food properly, and wipe the containers dry before placing them in the appliance. This prevents frost build-up inside the appliance.
- The appliance storage basket should not be lined with aluminium foil, wax paper, or paper towels. Liners interfere with the cool air circulation, making the appliance less efficient.
- Organise and label the food to reduce door opening times and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed each time, and close the door as soon as possible.
2.3. Maintenance
Cleaning
- The dust behind the chest freezer and on the ground should be cleaned regularly to improve the cooling effect and save energy. The interior of the chest freezer should be cleaned regularly to avoid unpleasant odours.
Use soft towels or a sponge dipped in water and non-corrosive neutral detergent to clean the appliance. In the end, the chest freezer should be cleaned with clean water and a dry cloth. Leave the door open for natural drying before the turning on the power.

- Please remove the food and place it in a cool place when defrosting and before removing the accessories.

Other mechanical devices or other means should not be used to elerate the defrosting process, except for those recommended by manufacturer. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
