Frequently Asked Questions - EDH903R9WB ELECTROLUX

How do I clean the lint filter?
After each drying cycle, open the door and pull the lint filter upward. Remove lint by hand or with a soft brush, rinse under running water if needed, then dry it thoroughly before reinstalling.
Where is the water tank and how do I empty it?
The water tank is located in the top drawer. Pull out the drawer, empty the water into a sink, and push it back firmly. Alternatively, you can connect a drain hose (not supplied) for continuous drainage.
What does the 'Condenser Self-Cleaning' feature do?
This function automatically cleans the condenser during the drying cycle using condensed water, reducing the need for manual cleaning. The system flushes the condenser at regular intervals to maintain efficiency.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the 'Child Lock' button (usually marked with a padlock icon) for 3-5 seconds until the symbol appears on the display. Repeat to unlock.
Why is the drying cycle taking longer than expected?
Possible reasons include: overloaded drum, clogged lint filter, blocked condenser, low ambient temperature, or selected program with lower heat. Try reducing the load or cleaning the filter/condenser.
Can I stack my washing machine on top of this dryer?
This dryer is designed for freestanding use only. If you wish to stack, you must use a stacking kit specifically designed for this model and follow the installation instructions strictly to ensure stability.
How do I use the delay start function?
Select your drying program, then press the 'Delay Start' button repeatedly to set the desired delay time (e.g., 3, 6, 9 hours). Press 'Start/Pause' to begin the countdown. The dryer will start automatically at the set time.
What should I do if the dryer stops mid-cycle?
Check for a power outage, a full water tank, or a clogged lint filter. If the display shows an error code, refer to the troubleshooting section of the manual. Press 'Start/Pause' to resume if the issue is resolved.
How do I clean the condenser manually?
Turn off and unplug the dryer. Open the lower flap, pull out the condenser, rinse it with water from the back to remove lint, shake off excess water, and reinsert it securely. Do not use brushes or sharp objects.
What programs can I use for delicate fabrics?
Use the 'Delicates' program for gentle drying at low temperature. For wool items, select the 'Wool' program which has a special drum movement to prevent shrinkage. Always check garment care labels.

Diagram showing a washing machine with a circular component and warning symbol, indicating mechanical or electrical hazard.

ELECTROLUX EDH903R9WB - Start a programme without delay start - 2

CAUTION!

Make sure that when you close the door, the laundry does not get caught between the appliance door and the rubber seal.

  1. Press the on/off button to activate the appliance.

  • Start a 1 hour programme with moist laundry.

ELECTROLUX EDH903R9WB - CAUTION! - 1

At the beginning of the drying cycle (first 3-5 min) there could be a slightly higher sound level. This is due to the compressor starting up. This is normal for compressor powered appliances such as refrigerators and freezers.

  1. Set the correct programme and options for the type of load.

The display shows the programme duration.

ELECTROLUX EDH903R9WB - CAUTION! - 2

Real drying time will depend on type of the load (quantity and composition), the room temperature and the humidity of your laundry after spin drying phase.

  1. Press the Start/Pause touch button. The programme starts.

10.2 Starting the programme with delay start

The appliance continues to operate with the anti-crease phase for approximately 30 minutes or more if Extra Anticrease option was set (see chapter Option - Extra Anticrease).

The anti-crease phase reduces creasing.

You can remove the laundry before the anti-crease phase is completed. We recommend, for better results, that you remove the laundry when the phase is almost completed.

11. HINTS AND TIPS

11.1 Preparing the laundry

ELECTROLUX EDH903R9WB - Preparing the laundry - 1

Very often the clothes after washing cycle are kneaded and tangled altogether. Drying kneaded and tangled clothes is inefficient. To assure proper air flow and even drying it is recommended to shake and load one by one the clothes to the tumble dryer.

To assure proper drying process:

  • Close the zips.
  • Close the fasteners of duvet covers.
  • Do not dry ties or ribbons loose (e.g. apron ribbons). Tie them before you start a programme.
  • Remove all items from pockets.
  • Turn items with the internal layer made of cotton inside out. Cotton layer must be faced outwards.

• Always set the programme suitable for the type of laundry.
- Do not put light and dark colours together.
- Use suitable programme for cottons, jersey and knitwear to reduce shrinkage.
- Do not exceed the maximum load stated in the programmes chapter or shown on the display.
- Dry only the laundry that is suitable for tumble drying. Refer to the fabric label on the items.
- Do not dry large and small items together. Small items can be trapped inside the large items and remain wet.
- Shake the large clothes, fabrics before placing in the tumble dryer. It is to avoid moist places inside the fabric after the drying cycle.

Fabric label Description
Laundry is suitable for tumble drying.
Laundry is suitable for tumble drying at higher temperatures.
Laundry is suitable for tumble drying at low temperatures only.
Laundry is not suitable for tumble drying.
