Frequently Asked Questions - ORT90X OMEGA

How do I install the Omega ORT90X range hood?
Installation should be done by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is mounted at least 65 cm above electric cooktops and 75 cm above gas cooktops. Use the provided template for drilling and secure the unit firmly.
How often should I clean the grease filter?
The aluminum grease filter should be cleaned every month with warm soapy water or in the dishwasher. A clean filter ensures optimal performance and prevents fire hazards.
Does the ORT90X come with a charcoal filter?
The unit includes a grease filter but not a charcoal filter. If you need recirculation mode, purchase a compatible charcoal filter separately. It should be replaced every 3-6 months.
How do I switch between ducted and recirculation mode?
For ducted mode, connect the outlet to a duct leading outside. For recirculation, install a charcoal filter and ensure the outlet is not blocked. Refer to the manual for the correct adapter.
Why is my range hood making excessive noise?
Noise may increase if the grease filter is clogged or if the motor bearings are worn. Clean the filter first. If noise persists, check for loose parts or contact support.
Can I use the range hood without a filter?
No, operating without a grease filter can allow grease to enter the motor and cause damage or fire. Always ensure the filter is properly installed.
How do I replace the light bulb?
The ORT90X uses integrated LED lights that are not user-replaceable. If the light fails, contact a service technician for replacement.
What is the recommended height for installation?
For safety and efficiency, install the hood at least 65 cm above electric hobs and 75 cm above gas hobs. This prevents heat damage and ensures proper capture of fumes.
How do I clean the exterior of the range hood?
Use a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent or glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the surface. Dry with a clean cloth.
Where can I find spare parts or service?
Contact Omega authorized service centers or check the brand's website for spare parts such as filters, bulbs, and motors. Use genuine parts for warranty compliance.
