How do I assemble the food processor for chopping?
Place the disc stem on the motor pin. Attach the bowl and turn anticlockwise until it clicks. Insert the blades on the disc stem. Add food, place the cover, and lock the semi-removable internal food chute. Insert the food pusher and start.
What should I do if the motor does not start?

Why does the appliance stop when I remove the cover?
This is a safety feature. The motor stops automatically when the bowl cover is removed to prevent accidents. Reattach the cover to restart.
Can I process hot food?
No. Do not place food over 50°C in the bowl or jug. Let hot ingredients cool before processing.
How do I store the power cord?

What should I do if the blades become dull?

  • Before performing any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect the appliance from the mains outlet by removing the plug from the socket or by switching off the electrical installation.
  • If the appliance breaks down or functions improperly, shut it off and do not tamper with it.
    Repairs must only be carried out by an after-sales centre authorized by the manufacturer. Always insist of genuine spare parts.
    Non-compliance with what has been stated above could compromise the safety of the appliance.
  • If you decide not to use the appliance of this type anymore, it is recommended that you make it inoperable by cutting off the mains cord after removing the plug from the mains outlet.
    You should also render harmless these parts of the appliance that could be dangerous, especially for children who might use an abandoned appliance as a toy.

Installation must be performed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Incorrect installation could cause damage to person, animals and things, for which the manufacturer cannot be held responsible.
• To avoid dangerous overheating, it is recommended that you unwind the electrical cord to its entire length and that you use the appliance as recommended in "Precsutons".

- For UK only

  • The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code.
  • Blue - NEUTRAL Brown - LIVE.
  • If your appliance is fitted with a non-rewtresable mains plug which is not suitable for the socket outlets in your home, the plug must be cut off and an appropriate one fitted.

NOTE

  • A plug cut off from a flexible cord will give a shock hazard if inserted in a 13 amp socket elsewhere in the house. To avoid this, it should be disposed of immediately.
  • If you are fliting an alternative type of plug then the colours of the wires in the mains lead of the appliances may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals on your plug.
    In this case proceed as follows:
  • The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK.
  • The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.

NOTE:

  • For your additional safety, the appliance has been double insulated and must not be earthed.
  • Therefore do not connect either of the wires to the earth terminal of the three pin plug.
  • If a 13 amp (BS 1363) plug is used a 13 amp (BS 1362) fuse must be fitted either in the plug, adaptor or at the fuse board.

Cleaning

Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains socket.

Switch the appliance off prior to approaching the parts that are in movement during use.
• To clean the motor unit (1) use a damp cloth and avoid abrasive detergents.
▲ Never immerse the motor unit (1) in water or other liquids.
Never wash the motor unit (1) in the dishwasher (fi g."W").
• All parts, except the motor unit (1) can be washed with warm water and ordinary detergents for dishes.
Those parts, except the motor unit (1), can be washed in the dishwasher at a temperature not higher than 65°C (fig. "W").
The blades are very sharp; handle them with great care.

  • Discoloration that may occur when the appliance comes into contact with certain foods (e.g. an orange colour when carrots are blended) can be removed with a cloth soaked in cooking oil.
    Before inserting the plug in the mains outlet, ensure that the appliance and all its components are completely dry and correctly assembled.
    Before putting the appliance away, make sure the parts are cleaned carefully to avoid the forming of bacteria.
  • After use, the electric power cable can be stored in the special compartment (1c) on the base of the device (Fig. "X").

Using the citrus juicer

  • Place the disc stem (2) on the motor pin (1a) (Fig. "C").
  • Place the empty bowl (3) on the motor unit (1) and turn it "anticlockwise" until lining up the handle with the reference spot on the motor unit.
    When you hear a "click" it means the bowl is correctly positioned (Fig. "D").
  • Place the filter (8) on the bowl (8) by turning it anticlockwise until you hear the engagement "click" (Fig. "U").
  • Place the cone (9) on the disc stem (2), inserting it correctly on the filter (8) gears (Fig.7V).
  • Insert the plug into the mains socket making sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the ratings plate on the appliance.
  • Cut the fruit into two halves.
  • Pressing slightly with the fruit on the cone, turn the control knob (16) to "MIN" or to "MAX" to start the appliance (Fig.2").

The appliance does not start if the filter (8) is not correctly positioned on the motor unit (1).

• To stop the appliance turn the control knob (16) to "OFF".
- When juicing is completed, remove the cone (9) and the filler (6) by turning it clockwise (Fig.10).
- Lift the bowl (3) holding the handle and pour the juice.

Using the blender

  • Place the glass jug (10) on the motor unit (1) hooking it up until the engagement click. (Fig. 'Q')
  • Insert the food to be blended in the jug (10).
    Place the cover (11) and the measuring cup (12) (Fig. "H")
    • Make sure the control knob (16) is turned to the "OFF" position.
  • Insert the plug into the mains socket making sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the ratings plate on the appliance.
  • Start the appliance by turning the control knob (16) to "PULSE" or to "MIN" or to "MAX".

The appliance does not start if the jug (10) is not correctly positioned on the motor unit (1).

If you notice that the motor has difficulty with the rotation. Gradually add few amounts of liquid.
- If additional ingredients need to be added during blending, you can remove the measuring cup (12) (fig. ^4 ).
- To stop the appliance, turn the control knob (16) to the "OFF" position
- To remove food residue from the sides of the jug or to re-work them, re-turn the control knob (16) to "OFF" wait until the blades have stopped and use the supplied spatula (15) or appropriate tools.

DO NOT use fingers.

- To remove the jug (10) from the motor unit (1) hold the handle and turn it clockwise (Fig. "Q").

Tips

Insert the food to be blended in the jug (10) after cutting it in small pieces.
- Add a few ingredients at a time into the jug (10) to allow a correct working and to avoid the spillage of ingredients out of the lid.
- NEVER fill the jug (10) to more than 1500 ml, during blending, the blades rotation determines an increase in load volume (li p. T).
- For better circulation of food, pour the liquid into the jug (10) first, then add solid foods. The presence of liquids facilitates and speeds up the processing even at MINI speed.
- To crush ice, it is recommended to now cold water in the jig (10).

Add Ice.

Pour the ingredients respecting the following quantities: cold water 40% and ice 60% (eg. For crushing 400 grams of ice, pour 160 ml of water fi rst).
- Hold firmly the cover (11) and start the appliance by turning the control knob (16) to "PULSE".
Pause occasionally during ice crushing and, if necessary, sod 1 ice cube at a time.

- Do not crush ice without cold water. Do not damage the blades by blending hard foods (coffee beans, bones, frozen food etc).

This blender is not suitable for: beating eggs or whipping cream, grinding meat, mixing dough.

Do not excessively overload the motor. If it stops, turn the appliance off immediately; remove the plug from the socket as well as food content processed and wait a few minutes before restarting.

Tips for using the blades (4) and the discs (13, 14)

  • The blades (4) are useful for cutting, mincing, mixing, blending and reduce to a purse raw or cooked meat, fruit, vegetables and salads.
  • The disc (13) is useful for slicing fruit and vegetables (eg. courgettes, carrots plc.).
    • The disc (14) is useful for shredding or reduce fruit, vegetables and medium/soll chooses (e.g.: Emmental) into small pieces.
    • The fineness depends on how long the appliance operates.
  • For processing food such as onion, garlic etc with the blades (4), use the minimum speed or the "PULSE" function to avoid reducing them into pulp
    • The longer the processing time the better the finishing quality obtained
  • The smaller the pieces processed (max 2.5 cm.), the better the quality of the result obtained.
  • When processing hard food like soya beans etc, soak them first, leaving them to sosk in water or other liquid prior to use.
  • When adding liquid (milk, broth, fruit juice etc) to facilitate the processing, do not exceed the recommended quantity.
  • If the result is not satisfactory:
  • use the appliance at interval with the "PULSE" function;
  • stop the functioning of the appliance, remove the cover (5) and amalgamate the mixture with a spatula (15) then re-process everything;
  • divide the mixture into several portions and process them

    Do not open the semi-removable internal food chute (6a). The appliance stops immediately.
  • To re-start, re-insert the semi-removable internal food chute (6a) correctly (fig."G").
    For shredding, grating or mincing, cut the food into small cubes to facilitate the processing.
  • Press the food into the external Food chute (6) using the food pusher (7) (fig. ^3 H ^4 ).
    Do not use fingers or other tools to process food (fork, etc.) (fig."P").
    While processing the food, take care not to fill the bowl (3) over the maximum capacity.

  • When pulsing, hold the "PULSE" position for about 2-3 seconds, check the result and repeat for the desired consistency.
    The appliance does not start if the bowl (3), the cover (5) and the semi removable internal food chute (6a) are not correctly positioned.
    While processing the food make sure that you do not fill the bowl (3) over the recommended quantity.
    Do not insert food that has the possibility to increase in volume and therefore exceed the maximum level of the container.
    If you notice that the motor has difficulty with the rotation, switch off the appliance and check that nothing is impeding the rotation or that there is not too much food to be processed.
  • Additional food can be added through the external food chute (6) by removing the food pusher (7) (11g.'H').
  • To add bulky food press the release button (6b) and remove the semi-removable internal food chute (6a) pulling it upwards (Fig. ^1 L ^1 ).
  • To re-start, insert the semi-removable internal food chute (6a) in the external food chute (6) until you hear the engagement "click" (Fig. 'G').
    When the cover (5) is removed from the bowl (3), the device stops.
    Before adding food, cut it into small pieces to facilitate the processing.

- Open the cover (5) turning it clockwise until you hear the engagement "click".

Using the slicing disc (13) or the shredding disc (14)

  • Place the disc stem (2) on the motor pin (1a) (fig. "C").
  • Place the empty bowl (3) on the motor unit (1) and turn it "anticlockwise" until lining up the handle with the reference spot on the motor unit.
    When you hear a "click" it means the bowl is correctly positioned (Fig. "D").
  • Place the slicing disc (13) or the shredding disc (14) on the disc stem (2) in the centre of the bowl (3) (Fig. ^2 ).
    If using the shredding disc (14), place the desidered cutting side facing upwards.

The discs blades (13, 14) are very sharp; handle them with great care.

- Place the cover (5) on the bowl (3) then turn it "anti-clockwise" until you hear the engagement "click" (Ig. "F").

Turn the control knob (16) to 'MIN', the unit will run at a low speed and will keep running until the control knob is turned to the 'OFF' position.

Preliminary operations

When using for the first time, wash all the components (except the motor unit) with hot water and a normal dishwashing liquid; beware of the sharp blades.

Rinse thoroughly and dry the parts before using them again. Before using, make sure that none of the components are broken.

The blades and the discs (4, 13, 14) are very sharp; handle them with care.

• Make sure that the plug is disconnected from the socket and no buttons are pressed.

- Place the appliance on a flat, stable and dry surface and make sure that all the feet (1b) rest on the surface.

Do not process food in pieces larger than 2.5cm.

- Place the Disc Stem (2) on the Motor Pin (1a) / [e °C]

- Place the empty bowl (3) on the motor unit (1) and turn it "anticlockwise" until lining up the handle with the reference spot on the motor unit. When you hear a "click" it means the bowl is correctly positioned (fig."D").

- Place the blades (4) on the Disc Stem (2) in the centre of the bowl (3) (fig. "E").

- Place the food in the bowl (3). - Place the cover (5) on the bowl (3) then turn it "anti-clockwise" until you hear the engagement "click" (fig."F").

- Make sure that the Semi- removable internal food chute (6a) is correctly locked, inserting it in the external food chute (6) downwards until you hear the engagement "click (10.0."3).

- Insert the food pusher (7) in the semi- removable internal food chule (6a) (11 g."H").

- Insert the plug into the mains socket making sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the ratings plate on the appliance.

- Start the appliance turning the control knob (16) to "PULSE" or to "MIN" or to "MAX" for a continuous processing.

The sheath and plug on the powercable must not show any cracks or breakages. If the conditions described above are observed, immediately unplug the appliance from mains outlet and take it to an authorized After- Sales Service Centre for necessary checking.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

    To avoid dangerous overheating do not excessively push fruits against the cone of the citrus press.
