Frequently Asked Questions - Micro Space TW2253HH TEFAL

How do I change the paper bag?
First, switch off and unplug the vacuum. Remove the hose from the suction inlet. Open the lid (10), lift out the bag base (6), and remove the paper bag (7). Dispose of it and insert a new paper bag. Ensure the bag base is correctly positioned before closing the lid.
How do I clean the cloth bag?
Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Remove the bag base (6) and take off the cloth bag (8). Open the retaining clip, empty the bag over a dustbin, wash it in clean water, and let it dry for at least 24 hours. Reattach the bag, ensuring the clip is secure, then reinstall the bag base.
How often should I change the microfilter?
The microfilter (4) should be changed every six months. To change it, unplug the vacuum, open the lid, remove the bag, take out the old microfilter, dispose of it, and insert a new one. Then replace the bag and close the lid.
How do I clean the air outlet foam filter?
Unplug the vacuum. Remove the air outlet grill (20) behind the appliance. Take out the foam filter (19), wash it in clean water, and let it dry for 24 hours. Refit the filter and close the grill.
What does the full-bag warning light mean?
The red full-bag warning light (12) indicates the bag is full or saturated. To confirm, set power to max and hold the nozzle above the ground. If the light stays red, replace the paper bag or empty the cloth bag.
Why is suction weak or whistling?
Weak suction or whistling may be due to a blocked accessory or hose: check and clear blockages. Also ensure the bag is not full, the microfilter is not saturated, and the manual power control on the grip is closed.
How do I adjust the suction power?
You can adjust suction power using the electronic control (14) on the vacuum body: turn towards max for floors and min for delicate fabrics. Alternatively, use the manual slider on the grip (27) to reduce suction.
Can I use the vacuum on wet surfaces?
No, never use the vacuum on wet surfaces, water, or any liquids. It is designed for dry vacuuming only. Using it on wet surfaces can damage the appliance and void the warranty.
How do I store the vacuum and its accessories?
After use, switch off and unplug. Rewind the cord by pressing the pedal (15). Place the crevice nozzle (22) in its storage compartment (21) behind the appliance. Attach the multi-surface nozzle (23) in the self-standing position (16).
What if the lid does not close?
The lid may not close if the bag base (6) is missing or not properly positioned. Ensure a bag (paper or cloth) and the bag base are correctly inserted into the bag compartment.
